Yes, I am bad at keeping up with this meme. Don't judge. I think I'm having more trouble with this one, because of my lack of interest in posting in general. But here's Day 15 & 16 of my 30 Day Female Character Meme! :D

Wow, epic fail on my behalf. I'm once again behind on my 30 Day Female Character Meme. For some reason, I don't really have much interest in posting. *shrugs* I'm sure I'll get over it. I always do. Anyway, here's days 11-14!

day 10!

Now, it's Day 10 of my 30 Day Female Character Meme. :)

Day Ten: Favorite female character in a sci-fi/supernatural show

The obvious answer is Lois, but I already used her for my favorite leading lady and I don't like to repeat days. So I'm going with another character I love in my favorite sci fi show: Tess Mercer (Smallville).

I absolutely adore Tess and my love for her has only grown over the years. I think she's just amazing. When I first heard that she was one of the new characters in s8, I was more than a little skeptical. Other than her scene with Lois, I wasn't impressed in 'Odyssey'. But at time went on, I found her more fascinating. I had a love/hate relationship with her in s8 (mostly just shipping her with Lois). There were plenty of moments that I started to like her but there were others that I was just frustrated and felt she was trying too hard.

It was season 9 that made her one of my favorite characters. Cassidy seemed to find her ground and her character really began to develop. One of the many things I love about Tess is that nobody knows anything about her so her history can be carved. The retcons in season 10 made sense, because we didn't have any knowledge on her background and it all just worked (even though the timeline does make me scratch my head).

Not only is she beautiful, but she is smart, cunning and tough as nails. Tess is badass. There's no doubt about it. I love how tough she is and how she won't bow down to anyone. Zod thought he could send one of his men after her and that guy ended up dead. You don't mess with Tess Mercer. I love how she sent him the guy's tags and toasted him from across the street. She knew that she would be second guessed after being chosen as Lex's replacement and she made sure her presence felt. Respect her or pay the consequences. Despite this, she does have a vulnerable side, as shown in 'Isis' when Clark and Ollie welcomed her to the team. Her life hasn't been an easy one yet she doesn't use that an excuse or a way to get pity. This gal is no woobie. Sure, she makes mistakes but she doesn't justify them. She is who she is and I love that.

I'm glad that she got to be one of the good guys though and has found real family/friends with the Justice League. I hope she gets a good ending because she deserves it. Cassidy is also an incredible actress, who manages to express so much with just her eyes. She brings Tess to life and I don't think anyone could've done it better.

day 9!

It's Day 9 of my 30 Day Female Character Meme! :)

Day Nine: Favorite female character in a drama show

There are a few female characters I love in drama series but I went with Lorelai Gilmore (Gilmore Girls).

I absolutely adore Lorelai and if you've known me for a while, I think you've heard me gush about her before. But that won't stop me from doing it again. She's so awesome. I love how witty she is and how she snarks. It's as if she has a never ending stream of one-liners. I always LOL when she starts rambling. Not only is she a great mom, but she's such a good friend to the people around her. Lorelai is strong but she's also vulnerable. Her mother and their relationship does get to her. And yes, she makes mistakes but she learns from them. I especially love the way she loves junk food and coffee. While her bad eating habits frustrate Luke, they entertain me to no end (not to mention I really do relate).

She's definitely one of the coolest moms ever and definitely not only my favorite character on Gilmore Girls, but one of my overall favorite characters. :)

day 6

It's Day 6 of my 30 Day Female Character Meme! :)

Day Six: Favorite female-driven show

This was actually a no brainer for me. I just had to with a show that will forever be a favorite: Gilmore Girls.

As with most shows, my sister got me hooked. She was watching and I got curious. I was won over almost immediately. I just love Rory and Lorelai but most importantly, I love their relationship. Though unconventional, they're just really great. I love that they're not only mother-daughter but best friends. Also, I like that they even used this as a source of problems as Lorelai had to struggle to draw the line between friend and parent, sometimes having to choose between her roles.

The banter was great and though I had my share of problems with season 7, I do love the way they ended the show- with the two of them. It felt right. I do miss this show at times and that's when having some of the DVDs and YouTube comes in handy. :D

day 2! :)

It's Day 2 of my 30 Day Female Character Meme! :D

Day Two: Favorite supporting female character

This was a bit harder, because there are so many supporting female characters that I do love but I finally settled on one: Luna Lovegood (Harry Potter).

I absolutely adore Luna. She was awesome in the books and they casted her perfectly in the movies. I love how quirky she was and how she didn't care what other people thought of her. Not only is she smart, she's interesting and she's very loyal to her friends. Luna is rather matter of fact about things, even when her opinions don't relate to everyone else.

She's really brave too. In the 7th book, she was one of the people who restarted the DA and she was the one who helped Harry enter the Ravenclaw common room. Also, she fights bravely among her fellow students, even taking on Bellatrix. All in all, she's just great. After all, there's a reason Harry named one of his children after Luna, right? :)

30 day female character meme! :)

Now, I have a new 30 day meme that I snagged from [livejournal.com profile] sunnytyler001. You all know that I can't go too long w/o doing one. This time, it's a female character one. :)

Day One: Favorite lead female character

There's a lot of female characters that I love but no one compares to this one, at least for me: Lois Lane (Smallville).

Are you really surprised? I've honestly loved Lois since season 4. She had me at 'Crusade', where she managed to somewhat handle Kal, fight to avenge her cousin, go up against Lionel and snark with Clark. Over the years, she just got better. Sure, she wasn't the leading lady then but she definitely is now. I love her because she's imperfectly perfect. Her flaws make me love her even more because it's what makes her relatable. Sure, she screws up but she can admit it. Hell, she'll be the first one to say she's not perfect.

This gal can drink Generals under the table, she plays video games and loves maple donuts. She can kick butt and take care of herself. At the same time, she loves with all her heart and soul. For her family and friends, she would risk her life without thinking twice because she's that loyal. When she believes in something (or someone), she will go against the world to protect them. Her snarkiness is mostly a defense mechanism and partly because she loves verbally smacking down idiots (when she's not literally doing so). She seriously has some of the best one-liners in the show.

Best of all, she's comfortable with her own sexuality, which is great and something to be admired, not belittled. Because she's a grown woman and a helluva sexy one too, so why shouldn't she be? Any guy who messes her with though? Will get their asses handed to them. Ollie came back in 'Siren' and yes, she was hurt, but when she saw him, he got a (well deserved) smack to the face. It's because she's that badass.

Lois is beautiful, strong, brave, smart, and just all around awesome. Also, she manages to leave Superman speechless. How can you not love her?

day 30!

Last day of my female character meme! It was fun to do this. :)

Day 30: Maria Rainer (The Sound of Music)

I loved this movie as a kid, and even to this day. The songs were lovely, the children were great, and I loved Maria. She was awesome and she managed to win over everyone, from the von Trapp children to the Captain himself. Love how she was a dreamer and carefree, but at the same time, very sensitive and loving. :)

day 29!

Second to last day for this meme!

Day 29: Margaret Tate (The Proposal)

I loved the Proposal and Margaret was awesome. I have a tendency to love characters who are tough on the outside, but vulnerable inside. Margaret is definitely no exception. I like how she didn't take any BS, but at the same time, going to Alaska calmed her down. I like her opening up to Andrew, and that she was able to admit how scared she was at the end. Great movie and great character. :)

day 28!

3 days left! I think I'll start my Gilmore Girls meme after this. Though I may have to rewatch the show, you know ... to refresh my memory. Oh, darn. ;)

Day 28: Miranda Preistly (The Devil Wears Prada)

I loved this movie and Miranda entertained me. It's probably one of my favorite roles for Meryl Streep. She was such a HBIC. Miranda was scary, knew what she wanted, and made sure everything met her standards. That's pretty kickass. At the same time, she did love her children, and was vulnerable, as shown in the Paris scene after her husband left her. Hell, she even softened somewhat for Andrea. The end, where she gave Andrea the recommendation and the little smile in the car after she saw her? Sweet.

Day 27: Rebecca Bloomwood (Shopaholic series)

I love the Shopahlic series by Sophie Kinsella and I love Becky. She's just awesome. Though she can be crazy (especially with her shopping addiction), she really is a good person. Even when she makes mistakes, she learns from them. I got the latest installment of the books, Mini-Shopahlic and I'm excited to read it. I've heard good things. I used a pic from the movie, but it really didn't live up to the book.

day 24!

More of my 30 day meme! I found a book one to do after I finish with this one and I still have to post the Gilmore Girls one I created but I am trying to take it one meme at a time, lol. :)

Day 24: Chloe Sullivan (Smallville)

I've had my fair share of problems with Chloe in the past couple of seasons, but I did really love her. I had moments of liking her in s1-3, but I think I really loved her in s4-6 and parts of s7. There were parts of s9 too, where I was reminded of how she used to be. I like her friendship with Clark, and I adore her relationship with Lois. Seeing her searching for Lois in 'Savior' made my Chlo-Lo loving heart happy, and when she went after Clark on Lois's behalf in 'Echo', I totally cheered her on. I always found Chloe the easiest character to relate to, and when it comes to writing fanfic, she's always been the easiest character for me to write. She's very smart and loyal, and I like that she had a bit of fangirl in her (e.g. 'Stiletto'). My favorite role for her is 'Watchtower', and it's fun seeing her interact with the team. Characters on Smallville never seem to get proper closure (e.g. Lana and Lex) so I'm hoping that she gets a good sendoff.

day 23!

Wow, I can't believe I'm at day 23 already! But there it is. :)

Day 23: Elizabeth Swann (Pirates of the Caribbean)

I liked Elizabeth, especially in the first movie (Curse of the Black Pearl). I like to pretend that the other two never happened. Everything ended perfectly after the first movie. Though I wasn't impressed with how she handled the Jack thing, I thought she was pretty badass. She and Will were cute together. I still crack up at the idea that she burned Jack's rum. Admit it, that took some courage. Also, she was defiant with Barbossa and didn't let Jack push her around. She was awesome. :)

Day 22: Lucy Pevensie (Chronicles of Narnia)

I love Lucy so much, even when I read the books as a kid. She is such a sweet kid, and might be a huge reason that 'The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe' was my favorite book. I loved her in the movies too, and I think she was cast well. Her innocence and undying faith in Aslan was so awesome! In the 'Chronicles of Narnia' movie, I wanted to smack everyone and be like, "Listen to Lucy! She knows what she's talking about!" Even though she's young, she's smart, and I enjoy her character. :)

Day 21: Luna Lovegood (Harry Potter)

I like her a lot. She and Hermione are definitely my favorite female characters in HP. I love her quirkiness. Luna really made me smile, and she was such a good friend. They cast her perfectly in the movies too. :)

day 20!

More of my female character meme! I've been watching Smallville for the past couple of hours so I forgot to post, lol. :D

Day 20: Lane Kim (Gilmore Girls)

I loved Lane ... she was so awesome! Not only was she a good friend to Rory, she was a good person in general. She had it a lot tougher than Rory, as Mrs. Kim was so strict, but she stayed true to herself anyway. Though she loved her mother, she finally found the courage to stand up for what she wanted out of life, even if that took leaving. I liked her with Dave better than Zach though, because if anyone deserved a happy ending, it was Lane and I felt Dave = Prince Charming, though she and Zach had their cute moments. :)

day 19!

Another day of the female character meme. :)

Day 19: Kendall Hart (All My Children)

Yes, I totally used to watch AMC. My mom watched it first and I got curious one day. And you know how addictive soap operas can be. I liked Kendall ... I thought she was rather awesome. She just has so many layers- some days she used to be so evil, and other times, she was loving and protective of the ones she cared about. It's obvious that she would do anything for her sister, Bianca, and now even her children. Also, I liked that underneath the harsh exterior was a very vulnerable girl who just wanted acceptance from her biological mother.
