bradygirl_12 has opened her 2011 DCU Fic/Art Halloween Challenge. All verses, including crossovers, are welcome and there are tons of prompts to work off of! Posting goes from Sept 1st-November 30th. Definitely check it out!
If you love femslash, there's the 'Fragments of Sappho 2011 Challenge-a-thon' is opened for sign-ups! Basically, you claim a number, get a prompt and write a fic out of that. All fandoms are allowed. Sign-ups close on September 15th @ 11:59 PST. Fics have to be a minimum of 750w and are due on September 23rd. Interested? Find out more details and sign up here.
Last, but not least, a fandom auction: 'Help Somalia' is trying to raise money to help out in the famine in the southern part of Somalia. You can donate or offer your services. Auctions are running until September 24th @ 9 PM GMT. More info here.
