Yeah, I fell behind on my 30 Day Fanfic Meme again. Oh well. Here's days 6-8.
6) When you write, do you prefer writing male or female characters?
Probably female characters. They're easier for me to identify with and my fandoms have such awesome female characters that I can't help but love them and want to add them in, even if they're not a main character. When it comes to male characters, I always worry that I am making them too sappy, especially in slash fics. It is one of those things that I'm still working on.
7) Have you ever had a fic change your opinion of a character?
Maybe? I always feel better about Lana when I write her in a positive light. Granted I haven't done that too many times- I can probably count it on one hand really- but it still helps.
8) Do you write OCs? And if so, what do you do to make certain they're not Mary Sues, and if not, explain your thoughts on OCs.
Not really. They only play filler roles in my fics. Stories that feature an OC too prominently generally doesn't interest me (especially if they're paired off with one of the main characters. Kids are okay though) so I don't tend to write them either. I don't know if they end up as Mary Sues honestly. They don't stick around long enough to turn into Mary Sues so I'll go with no.
