Summary: When Clark is taken in the middle of patrol, Lois will do whatever it takes to make sure he is found and okay.

“Sir, are you okay?” Clark asked. Lois’s lips twitched into a smile; that was her Clark. It was never just about stopping the crime; it was also about taking care of the victims. His big heart was one of the things she loved most about him.

The communicators were high tech enough for them to pick another male voice.

“Yes, just fine- well, well, looks like you made quite the upgrade, eh, Clark Kent? Not just a farm boy anymore.”

Lois and Tess looked at each other with growing horror, alarm bells already going off in Lois’s head.

“I’m sorry- do we?” And then Clark was cut off, a choking sound, the kind of noise he made only when he was around one object … green kryptonite.

“Superman?” Lois yelled. “Stay with us.”

“We’re sending for backup,” Tess said, quickly moving and sending out a signal to all nearby members.

“Can’t have that,” the male voice said.

“Kryp … Gar,” was all she got before the connection abruptly died.
