Smallville:
Fandom DNW: Arrowverse characters/non canon ships- i prefer the Smallville version of the Justice League, i.e Bart, Victor, AC, etc; references to the Crisis on Infinite Earths arc (good with Clark and Lois having two daughters in a Clois fic, but not with Clark having given up his powers, at least not permanently)
Clark/Lois: I loved them from 'Crusade' and it just grew from there. The banter, the reluctant friendship, the solid bond even when they're bickering ... it was all great. She managed to get through to him and stop him from killing Alica's murderer! In s4! What a perfect frenemies to lovers ship. The way they support each other and have each other's back and how they really work together makes me happy. They're best friends and they're soulmates and the wait was hard but it was worth it for sure. If Lana is to be involved, I want her as a supportive friend and not a villain, which feels OOC for her, even if I don't ship Clana.
Prompts:
1. anything in the seven year gap or future fic with them trying to adjust to Clark's role as Superman while maintaining a relationship
2. their dance doesn't get interrupted in "Bride"- how does that change s8?
3. Lois remembers what happened in "Crimson"
4. anything set post Clark's secret reveal in "Isis"; I really liked Lois interrogating Clark in "Harvest" so I would love to see more of that
Clark/Lois/Oliver: They're my OT3. I love all of the individual ships and the dynamic we got in the few scenes they shared together. They each have their similarities to one another (Lois & Oliver, Clark & Lois, Clark & Oliver) and also enough differences that it really feel like they could balance each other out.
Prompts:
1. Luthor AU; set post 'Luthor' with Clark Luthor getting to redeem himself. Oliver doesn't let him escape and takes turns with Lois to keep an eye on him and somehow they all get closer/develop feelings
2. Oliver hangs out with Lois & Clark post Green Arrow reveal and has feelings for both of them
3. Oliver and Lois have gotten back together/never broken up and he notices the chemistry between Clark & Lois. Then he realizes Clark is into him too and makes a plan (after consulting Lois); bonus: he and Clark kissed as a distraction and he wasn't able to stop thinking about it
4. they get to finish their movie night in "Hydro"
Clark/Oliver: I loved them from s6 and how they formed a bond based on their shared secrets. They pushed each other and didn't always get along but always found their way back to one another. Oliver didn't always believe in Clark's methods but he did admire him and Clark believed in Oliver (his comments in Echo about 'you may have given up on Oliver Queen but I haven't' was everything to me) and I love that about them. Only thing I ask if that if you go this route, Lois not be disrespected/hurt. I love her and I love Clois so I would prefer they were just always friends rather than he break up with her/she deals with unrequited feelings.
Prompts:
1. have to go undercover as a couple
2. the meet during Clark's red k summer and Clark ends up on the island with Oliver
3. Clark pretends to be Oliver's fiance to see him in the hospital after an injury (maybe he has Oliver's father's ring because it snapped off during the fight?) and it turns out Oliver has amnesia so now he's stuck in the role temporarily
Lana/Tess:
Lana/Tess: They only had a few scenes but I really would've liked to see more. Interesting chemistry and dynamic with lots of potential.
Prompts:
1. soulmate AU: I can see how if it is by initials, LL is very common and can get confusing. Especially if it is Tess's birth name so Lana has LL and doesn't think of Tess.
2. undercover as a couple
3. they hook up after Clark and Lois's wedding/reception (though not because either or both are pining over Clark!) and end up in a casual/friends with benefits relationship
Lois/Lana: I liked how they were friends right off the bat. Lois was clearly impressed by Lana and Lana appreciated her friendship too, calling Lois a great listener. They'd be a great couple, though I don't want one or both of them to be pining over Clark or Clark to be the villain in any way.
Prompts:
1. Lana keeps her powers/saves Lois and now Lois is on the story about the new hero in town
2. roommates AU where Lois stays in Met U and Lana becomes her roommate
3. Lana owns a flower shop and Lois is a frequent customer
Lois/Oliver: They really won me over in s6. Had great chemistry. Him falling for her at first sight and she outright telling he was attractive but still keeping him on his toes in her own way was fun. Also they developed into a wonderful, supportive friendship in the final seasons.
Prompts:
1. she gives him a second chance in "Siren" and they have to deal with the long distance relationship
2. he gets hurt/loses his memory after "Justice" and thinks that they're still together
3. he is hears her confession in "Toxic" and they try again
4. she realizes she is pregnant after he leaves in "Justice"
Lois/Tess: I really loved them since their first scene in "Odyssey" and the journey of how they went from disliking one another to friends in s10 was great. I would love anything from any point in their relationship.
Prompts:
1. Lois gets roped into participating in a charity auction; Tess bids on/wins.
2. Lois joins a dating app and she ends up matched with Tess, but they both don't know.
3. Casual/Hate sex turns into real feelings.
Gilmore Girls:
Fandom DNW: Rory bashing/shaming (she's made mistakes but so has everyone else), Lorelai/anyone but Luke and vice versa
Lane/Dave: They were so sweet together and I loved how she was so into him and he was willing to work with her and her mom, even reading the whole bible.
Prompts:
1. Lane never dates Zach and she ends up running into Dave years later
2. when Lane gets kicked out, she ends up leaving Stars Hollow/goes to California and runs into Dave
3. Lane works at Luke's and Dave is a frequent customer/in a band. When they need a drummer, she ends up joining
Paris/Rory: They're such a fun rivals to friends to lovers ship. I love how they're there for each other and how Rory was willing to be a friend to Paris even when Paris was hot and cold with her and Paris just loving/being there for Rory too. I like them at any point, from when they are rivals with moments of getting along to the point where they are solidly friends in the Revival.
Prompts:
1. they live together post Revival and Rory gets jealous when she thinks Paris is dating another woman
2. set during Chilton- Paris or Rory doesn't want to date someone who asks her out and they blurt out that they're dating the other one. Fake dating ensues
3. they end up in a casual/friends with benefits relationship (maybe Rory thinks it will be okay because she believes she doesn't have feelings for Paris?)
All My Children:
Aidan/Greenlee: I never expected to like them as much as I did, but they really worked together. I liked he was there for her in her lowest moments and she was really good to/with him. Aidan was one of my faves so I was disappointed to see him be made a villain.
Prompts:
1. AU where he is still a detective but she is a client
2. they accidentally get married after they run into each other at the bar and then figure how to work things out
3. shippy fics, where they are be domestic and adopt kids or use a surrogate
Bianca/Maggie: I just loved them a lot- how they were friends, how she was so close to Miranda, and I wished we got to seem as an actual couple, before they left and then all of a sudden broke up over Maggie cheating (which felt kind OOC).
Prompts:
1. Bianca and Maggie in Paris, with Miranda
2. Maggie never dates Jonathan and she and Bianca realize their feelings sooner
3. Maggie doesn't cheat (or she does and she and Bianca work it out)
Ethan/Kendall: I really did like her with Ethan. I thought they were very sweet and they seemed happy, before they had him go to extremes and lie to her.
Prompts:
1. He is honest with her and they stay together
2. anything with them as a couple- date nights, vacations, etc
3. she finds out she is pregnant after they break up
Leo/Greenlee: He (and Aidan) were her best relationships. I know they had their ups and downs but it was unfortunate that they always got to the hope of happiness to have him die. I stopped watching the the show and missed the final seasons but it really seemed to think he was the love of her life till the end.
Prompts:
1. He faked his death and she runs into him when she leaves after finding out that Kendall lied about the baby
2. He never dies in the first place and they balance their lives together
Kendall/Greenlee: Them going from hating each other to being willing to raise a baby together was lovely. I thought it was funny that Erica actually thought they were together. They would've made awesome couple.
Prompts:
1. Ryan never returns and they do end up raising the baby together/developing feelings
2. at some point they both swear off relationships but end up in a friends with benefits relationship and develop feelings
3. they have to pretend to date
Kendall/Ryan: They were one of my OTPs on this show and I was really heartbroken when they couldn't work out. They had such intense passion and chemistry and I wish she would've been more open and he could've been able to trust her more. The amnesia storyline where he thought they were still together was one of my favorites. Not a huge fan of Ryan/Greenlee so please don't focus on the Kendall/Ryan/Greenlee triangle either.
Prompts:
1. Kendall leaves town after Ryan and Greenlee have their business marriage and then realizes she is pregnant (bonus points for her running into Leo, who is still alive and bringing him back)
2. during Ryan's amnesia; Kendall calls Jonathan to help and ends up getting closer with Ryan even when she tries to stay away
3. she doesn't sleep with Jonathan and she gives Ryan another chance
Crossover Ships:
Fandom(s) DNW: Steve/Steve's endgame ending bashing (you're welcome to ignore it completely), rehash of the Accords with obvious bias toward one side (i'm team cap but i don't want it dwelled on), Rory bashing in a Jess/Peyton fic
Jess Mariano (Gilmore Girls)/Peyton Sawyer (One Tree Hill): I am intrigued by the idea of these two. I feel like they would really connect and get along. Peyton likes music and art and they're both more the loner type. Plus she doesn't put up with nonsense and I think he'd appreciate it.
Prompts:
1. they meet in California, when she's there for her internship and he's there after he left Stars Hollow
2. He ends up in Tree Hill when he is writing a book and meets her
3. drunken one night stand turns into a relationship
Peggy Carter (MCU)/Diana (Wonder Woman) (DCEU): Obviously they've both experienced the loss of their blond haired Steve to plane accidents but I think they're both tough women who are compassionate and have enough differences to make a fun ship. They're both a little jaded but still have a lot of hope/always want to do what's right, and I can see them getting along.
Prompts:
1. Diana runs into Peggy after WWII
2. Peggy finds herself in Themyscira
3. meet while searching for a common enemy
Natasha Romanov (MCU)/Diana (Wonder Woman) (DCEU): Diana and Natasha also have potential! I can see them being interested in one another. They've both experienced loss and pain but they still fight for the better of the world and are the backbones of their respective teams.
Prompts:
1. AU where Natasha has a version of the serum and she meets Diana earlier/they have a one night stand and part, only to run into each other decades later
2. meeting while they're both undercover for separate missions
3. Diana runs into the Black Widow while she's still working on the other side
DCEU:
Arthur/Mera: I enjoyed the Aquaman movie and how they went from bickering to just falling for each other as they worked together.
Prompts:
1. Arranged Marriage AU- Arthur's mom gets to stay with the family but her son is now going to be betrothed to Mera and neither of them like it at first
2. Mera is defiant in some way and she ends up engaged to Arthur as punishment
3. Have to share a bed while they're on the run
Barry/Iris: We didn't see much of them but from what I did see, I liked. Very sweet and I love Barry in general.
Prompts:
1. soulmate AU
2. he gets dragged into one of her stories and they have to go undercover as a couple
3. reporter!Iris- he saves her life and she is on the story
Clark/Lois: They were very sweet and mature and I like how she was one of the first people to believe in him. Plus the ZSJL has them having a kid and I would love to read more about them.
Prompts:
1. preparing for a baby and a wedding post ZSJL
2. AU where Krypton survives and Kal-El has an arranged marriage with Lois
3. domestic fics where they take care of each other after a tough mission or story
Elementary:
Joan/Jamie: I ended up falling for these two hard. Jamie thinks she can get the best of Joan and Joan just does not put up with her and outsmarts her and that is great, especially since Jamie is convinced she can "solve" Joan and doesn't.
Prompts:
1. they are both undercover and have to keep each other's covers
2. artist!Jamie + Joan as her muse
3. they need to work together to defeat a common enemy
4. Jamie comes to Joan for help regarding her daughter
Joan/Sherlock: As much as I enjoyed their canon friendship, I always end up shipping any version of Holmes and Watson and this is not an exception. She calls him out and he is there for her and I love how they both grow together, especially Sherlock. I can see them falling into a relationship even when they don't mean to and maybe are even resistant to it. It wouldn't be conventional but it would work for them.
Prompts:
1. friends with benefits/casual sex turns into feelings- I can see it starting as a way to get release and then feelings happen
2. AU where Joan stays a doctor and Sherlock is a frequent patient; eventually she gets dragged into his cases
3. one of them gets hurt protecting the other
4. she fakes her death and they have to deal with the separation and the reunion
MCU:
Darcy Lewis/Natasha Romanov: I like them both and reading fic for them has really sold me on the pair. Personality wise they're different but Natasha has a sense of humor and I feel like they'd balance each other out. I can totally see Darcy being a fan of Natasha and having a crush.
Prompts:
1. set up on a blind date
2. one of them rescues the other
3. Darcy survived the snap so she runs into Natasha and they develop a relationship
Jane Foster/Thor: I liked them together in the first Thor movie and the way they grew and communicated. They were cute and I liked how smitten he became and how smart and capable she can be on her own. Even the deleted scene in TDW where they talk about not being able to live together was great. If Thor is on Earth, I think they have a chance to make it.
Prompts:
1. they find each other post Snap
2. Thor doesn't leave with the Guardians and they run into each other after everyone is back in Endgame
3. AU after The Avengers where the team doesn't part ways and they're trying to navigate a relationship
James "Bucky" Barnes/Natasha Romanov: I haven't read the comics but I find the MCU version of them intriguing, even if they didn't share that many scenes together. They both have rough pasts and had to overcome darkness and also have a sarcastic sense of humor so I can see them slowly getting along.
Prompts:
1. Steve is snapped instead of Bucky and Bucky and Natasha get to know one another/gradually trust/fall in love
2. Natasha survives Endgame and she is around during TFATWS, maybe teasing him about his attempts at dating, etc
3. canon divergence where Bucky finds his way on the team and they have to go undercover as couple
James "Bucky" Barnes/Natasha Romanov/Sam Wilson: They would be an interesting trio! I can see them all balancing each other out- Sam gets along with both of them and I can see Natasha and Bucky learning to accept one another as well.
Prompts:
1. Natasha survives Endgame and she is around for the events of TFATWS. They all end up closer. I can see Natasha seeing Sam's side in terms of not accepting the shield and being equally disgusted/mocking John Walker with Bucky
2. Sam and Bucky survive the snap instead of Steve and Tony (or two others of your choice). The two of them, along with Natasha, work together and they develop feelings
3. established relationship where they need to find time for date nights/being together while navigating their work schedules
James "Bucky" Barnes/James "Rhodey" Rhodes/Sam Wilson: I read a fic about these three and I was sold. It's such an interesting dynamic. Rhodey and Sam's canon friendship is great and I love Sam & Bucky. Rhodey and Bucky would be an interesting duo too. All three of them have the military connection in some form and they've been through their own personal struggles and they could really find a connection with each other.
Prompts:
1. Rhodey sticks around in TFATWS and he somehow ends up spending more time with Sam and/or Bucky
2. Rhodey runs into Sam while he's searching for Bucky and helps him out; they all end up connecting
3. soulmate AU where they each have two marks
Maria Hill/Natasha Romanov: Fic really sold me on this ship. They both take no prisoners but as shown in other moments (AOU, TWS), they both have lighter sides too and I think they would be great.
Prompts:
1. meeting soon after Natasha joins SHIELD
2. Maria survives the snap and works with Natasha
3. Natasha survives Endgame (or is brought back) and she is reunited with Maria
Natasha Romanov/Sam Wilson: I really fell for these two after watching CA: TWS. They had good chemistry and personality wise, they really mesh. Both are practical and level headed while having a lot of heart and a sly sense of humor. I could see them working out.
Prompts:
1. Sam survives the snap instead of Steve and they work together
2. the two of them reconnect after the events of Civil War. Maybe they both are on the run?
3. anything with them in a established relationship- dates, Sam trying to propose, planning a wedding, etc
Nebula/James "Rhodey" Rhodes: They had good chemistry in Endgame and they seemed to really relate to one another and bond so quickly.
Prompts:
1. keeping in touch after Endgame; I can also see them connecting over shared grief about Tony
2. first date
3. working around each other's insecurities/figuring out a relationship
Pepper Potts/Natasha Romanov: They're both great and I liked their relationship in Iron Man 2. I think they would work together well and balance each other out nicely.
Prompts:
1. Natasha feels bad about deceiving Pepper and works to regain her trust/they develop feelings
2. casual sex turns into real feelings
3. soulmate AU- maybe Pepper is skeptical and Natasha doesn't believe in them
Sharon Carter/Natasha Romanov: I like the idea of this ship. They're both really competent and unafraid to stand their ground and do what's right (at least pre TFATWS for Sharon).
Prompts:
1. Endgame AU where Sharon is working with Natasha instead of ending up off the grid
2. mission related before CW; maybe they have to go undercover as a couple
3. Natasha bonds with Sharon when she is first brought in to join SHIELD
One Tree Hill:
Fandom DNW: brooke/lucas/peyton triangle rehash, haley/anyone but nathan and vice versa
Brooke/Lindsey: From what I have seen of s5, I thought they had chemistry, especially in the bed scene, with Lindsey immediately recognizing Brooke and being a fan of her. I thought that was super cute.
Prompts:
1. they end up getting drunk married in Vegas
2. she meets her through Lucas and they're the ones who end up dating
Brooke/Lucas: I really shipped them- they way they brought out a different side to each other and their cute nicknames was sweet. She really made him less broody and I liked that. I like Brooke & Peyton's friendship so please no bashing/love triangles. I do prefer Peyton with Jake (and Haley with Nathan).
Prompts:
1. he convinces her give him another chance in s4
2. someone publishes a story about their "fake" engagement and now they have to go with it
3. different first meeting AU; she is a famous designer expanding into a men's fashion and he can is a popular basketball player that she gets to join her brand
Brooke/Peyton: I liked their friendship but I also ship it. At the end of the day, they needed each other the most and had their own beautiful love story.
Prompts:
1. they pretend to be a couple so Brooke can foster/adopt a child
2. 4 times that they were each other's plus 1 as friends and the one time as a couple
3. friends with benefits turns into real feelings
Brooke/Rachel: I just loved how they went from hating each other to friends. I stopped watching after s4 so I only know bits and pieces of the following seasons but feel free to include what happened later.
Prompts:
1. different first meeting AU- Brooke is a famous designer and Rachel is a model
2. hate sex/casual sex in s4 turns into real feelings
3. anything set during the 4 years or Brooke helping Rachel overcome her later season struggles
Jake/Peyton: I loved Jake and Jeyton and it was a shame they never got their "someday". They seemed to have a lot of fun together too, and he made Peyton happy. Plus I always thought they looked like a cute family with Jenny.
Prompts:
1. they meet up in LA after she says no to Lucas's proposal
2. Peyton doesn't say Lucas's name in her sleep and they stay engaged/together
3. Jake gets custody of Jenny so he never has to leave
Ted Lasso:
Fandom DNW: nate shelly bashing (while i don't like his actions either and i'm fine with them reflecting on it, i don't want the focus of the story to be on characters just lecturing him), sam/rebecca- either together or treated as a "problematic" relationship or rebecca having used sam as a substitute for ted
Keeley/Roy: I just love their relationship on the show. How they came together, and how they communicate and make it over their hurdles and how *into* each other they are. Just the best.
Prompts:
1. Roy decides to go on the vacation alone but then Keeley ends up surprising him
2. Roy was the player that Keeley slept with when she was 18 and now they meet up again through Jamie.
3. established relationship stories- maybe them planning a wedding with the whole team (especially Ted and Rebecca) wanting to help
Keeley/Roy/Jamie: I like the potential of these three. Roy and Jamie have come so far with Roy comforting him in his toughest time, Roy and Keeley are adorable and of course Keeley and Jamie's friendship is great too. Especially after 2.08.
Prompts:
1. Roy gets amnesia and goes back to his younger/more asshole self and Jamie and Keeley find it hot
2. Jamie ends up going on vacation with Roy and realizes he has feelings for him too
3. Jamie doesn't get much physical affection so Roy and Keeley try to give him hugs and comfort and he slowly used to it
4. Jamie ends up bonding with Phoebe (seems like he'd be good with kids) and wins Roy over that way, as well as continuing his friendship with Keeley
Sam/Dani: They would be such a sunshine ship! I didn't think of them before I read a fic about it but they would be adorable. Dani jumping into Sam's arms right after meeting him is definitely the stuff ships are made of.
Prompts:
1. one of them is the other's plus one and now everyone thinks they're dating
2. accidentally get married when drunk
3. celebrating an anniversary
Sam/Jamie: I really ended up falling for this ship. Sam is the sweetest and I like that Jamie had to work harder to get him to forgive his previous actions. The casual way Jamie drapes himself over Sam now and how far they've come really has sold me on the potential. The contrast between their relationship with their fathers is also intriguing.
Prompts:
1. AU where Jamie offers to cover for Sam when he finds out that he is dating Rebecca (while pining)
2. Jamie realizes how great Sam is and falls for him but doesn't think Sam could feel the same way (has to get over some internalized stuff too) because of how he treated him in the past
3. Fake Dating/Everyone thinks they're together-The whole team thinks they're dating and when Jamie's dad gets mad, he doubles down in spite. Sam agrees to go along with it and feelings happen
Ted/Rebecca: I liked the idea of them in s1 but I really fell for them in s2. They've come along so far and I love how Rebecca was the only one who realized Ted was having a panic attack, as well as Ted being the one to sing at Rebecca's father's funeral when she was breaking down. Even if we didn't see as much of them in the second half, it felt like they were in each other's orbits and the hint of a new confession the following season makes me still want to believe that it could be an admission of feelings.
Prompts:
1. trying to date while avoiding the media
2. Rebecca pines for Ted, thinking that he couldn't love her after she betrayed him, especially once she hears him refer to Michelle as his wife
3. Rebecca gets sick and Ted takes care of her
Thanks again!
Thanks so much for signing up for this challenge! I am excited to see what you come up with, and I hope the details I have provided help. While I left some prompts for each ship, please don't feel obligated to stick to them, if you have an idea based off the general likes that you would prefer to go with.
