The 3 Sentence Ficathon is well on its way. There are over 40 pages of prompts/fills and room for plenty more! And no, your fic doesn't have to be exactly 3 sentences.

I've written a few already:

Bucky/Natasha, finally

"It's about time," Natasha murmured against Bucky's lips, after they shared a long kiss at the end of the night, which Bucky finally realized was a date when she took his hand on the way home. "I have been waiting for you to do that."

"Couldn't have just said it?" Bucky teased. "Serum didn't give me mind reading powers." Natasha had never come off as the type to be afraid to make the first move, so he was surprised at her hesitation.

She shrugged, her tone nonchalant. "Wanted to make sure you wanted it too."

Instead of replying, understanding the meaning behind her words, he just kissed her again, more than ready to show her exactly how much he wanted it.

And as she kissed him back, he realized that she was perfectly fine with his approach.

He may have been slow, but it was definitely worth the wait.

the past may hurt (but the future is bright) (Smallville, Clark/Lois/Oliver, past, present, future)

When Lois told Oliver that she loved him, but as a friend, and not how he wished she would love him, he accepted that they're in the past, that he missed his chance. After all, it wasn't like he hadn't known how Lois felt about Clark ... he just hoped their old connection could give him a shot to be with her once more, but it was final: they were done.

****

He toasted to Clark and Lois's engagement, celebrating as hard as anyone else and he refused to let his eyes linger on the bride to be ... or the groom, whose hand had always felt too right in Oliver's own and whose small smiles made something in him ache for what he knows he cannot have, now twice over.

****

When Oliver awoke suddenly, he realized that everyone had shifted in their sleep, and he was in the center of Lois and Clark, their arms and legs entwined together. To learn that he hadn't been the only one who wanted more was one of the best surprises of Oliver's life; being wrong had never felt so good. So he watched them silently for a few minutes before he let himself close his eyes, drifting back to sleep, secure in the knowledge that whatever was to come that day and in the future, he wouldn't be facing it alone.

a moment of peace (MCU, Sam/Natasha, shoreline)

The waves crashed down, slowing before they reached Sam's feet, his toes sinking into the wet sand, as he stood on the shoreline, looking out into the ocean. The sun was setting in the distance, leaving streaks of red, orange, and yellow in the sky. The scene was beautiful and peaceful, yet he couldn't help but feel anxious inside, the reminder that this was temporary constantly in the back of his mind.

He was also aware that he was no longer alone, the very familiar woman now by his side, taking his hand. Sam entwined their fingers instinctively and he looked over, brown eyes meeting green, and despite everything else, he smiled.

"You're thinking too hard," Natasha murmured, resting her head on his shoulder.

"Can you blame me?" he asked quietly, even if they were one of the few on the beach, the others a safe distance away. "The world awaits."

"And it can keep waiting- right now, we're on a vacation," Natasha reminded him, raising an eyebrow. "We all need a break. Even you, Captain America."

He chuckled, and her lips curved into a smile as he visibly relaxed. "And what does the Black Widow need?"

"She needs for her boyfriend to stop worrying and join her in the hot tub," Natasha replied.

"Fair enough," he agreed. "From this moment, my focus is all on you."

"Now you're talking," Natasha replied cheekily, lifting her head up, and he bowed his down, their lips meeting in a long, lingering kiss, his worries dissipating, at least for the moment.

Whatever peace they had may be temporary, but Sam knew he was going to enjoy every second of it.

love is (accepting each other's pizza toppings (Smallville, Clark/Lois, pizza toppings)

"Pineapple?"

Clark barely refrained from wincing at Lois's horrified expression. She was looking at him like he told her that he was an alien, or how he feared she might look at him- in fact, she had been enthused about that particular revelation. This one, on the other hand, wasn't going down as well.

"It's good," he protested. "Have you had Hawaiian pizza?"

"It's pineapple," Lois said, making sure to put emphasis on the word that had so clearly offended her. "Fruit doesn't belong on pizza."

He wrinkled his nose. "Well technically, tomatoes ..."

"Don't start with me, Smallville," she interrupted, huffing. She wandered off to the phone, pizza menu in hand. "I can't believe I'm going to marry a man who likes pineapple on his pizza." She pointed the phone at him, almost in warning. "But you're getting your own pizza! I will not have your pineapple contaminating my meat." She paused. "That sounded less dirty in my head."

Raising an eyebrow, he smirked. "Since when has that stopped you?"

"Whatever, pineapple lover," Lois said, but she was smiling. She gave him a thorough once over, and he found himself straightening under her gaze. "We can talk about other types of collaborations ... after."

"Can't wait," Clark said, grinning, as she went off to make their dinner order. He could hear her mutter 'pineapple' under her breath, and he let out a small laugh.

One thing was for certain: he couldn't wait to marry her.
