And I'm also having a hard time tying up a particular plot for my Clois fake dating story too. I can't decide and it is slowing me down.
Can you try writing a few versions of it and see where your brain takes you? I've found that giving myself permission to just write something sometimes helps me unblock myself. (You can always save what you cut out for later.) I'd also recommend this approach for your role reversal with that plot that you're not quite sure how to resolve. Sometimes just giving it permission to unravel can help find the solution.
