Dear creator,

Thank you for participating in this challenge! Soulmates are one of my favorite tropes and I'm excited to see what you come up with. I hope the information I provided helps. I tried to leave a few prompts for each request but you're not obligated to use them and you can even use a prompt that I left for another if you feel that if fits. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact me via the mods and I will do my best to answer. :D

Fandom DNW: bashing canon love interests (Rory, Lois, Steve, etc)

Arthur Curry (Aquaman 2006)/Clark Kent (Smallville): I won't pretend that Justin Hartley playing AC doesn't have a part of this. I love their chemistry and ship them on Smallville for sure. But I also was interested in what I saw of the Aquaman TV show. It did have a lot of potential. I'm not totally sorry it didn't work out because it did bring JH to Smallville and his Oliver is my favorite, but also I genuinely do wish we could've seen more and I think Clark and AC, who both had to find about their own pasts and discover who they are would really understand each other. You can handwave Smallville AC if you would like, if you want to have them meet after s5.

Prompts:
1. a bond forms when one of them rescues the other
2. they keep getting a glimpse of each other's lives through water - it would be funny to see AC all "wtf is my soulmate doing" and Clark finding some comfort in AC's seemingly normal life when he's younger and lonely

Clark Kent (Superman Returns)/Bruce Wayne (Batman Begins): This particular Clark just matches up with this Bruce for me. Obviously their movies came out around the same time but they're both finding (and refinding) their place after going to discover themselves (and in Clark's place, rumors of what was left of Krypton). I'd love to see them connect and find common ground and of course, fall in love. I know it says 'Batman Begins' but I'm also fine with Bruce post TDK or even AUs of them knowing each other before Clark took off.

Prompts:
1. one of them is judgmental toward the other before they meet and then they realize they're soulmates (maybe they didn't meet pre-Clark leaving and Bruce judges him on abandoning his duties?)
2. Bruce has Clark's Kryptonian name as a mark and falls in love with Clark before realizing it's him

Diana (DCEU)/James T. Kirk (ST:AOS): I'm not going to pretend that the fact Kirk is played by Chris Pine and I ship Diana/Steve does play a part, but I think that specific angst makes it more interesting. Kirk and Steve are very different and I imagine it would be jarring to see someone with Steve's face but nothing like Steve for Diana. I love both characters a lot and I can see Kirk flirting with Diana, getting the brush off, but somehow, being even more intrigued. Diana would probably initially want to keep her distance from this Steve doppleganger but it would be interesting if she couldn't stay away and liked Kirk for his own merits.

Prompts:
1. Diana rescues Kirk and they find out they're bonded
2. Diana knows they're soulmates but doesn't tell Kirk (for w/e reason - his reputation, the fact he can't deal with the fact he looks like Steve, etc)

Diana (DCEU)/Natasha Romanov (MCU): Diana and Natasha also have potential! I can see them being interested in one another. They've both experienced loss and pain but they still fight for the better of the world and are the backbones of their respective teams.

Prompts:
1. Natasha's mark is damaged before they meet
2. Diana forms a bond with Natasha to save her life and then they both deal with it

Peggy Carter (MCU)/Diana (DCEU): Obviously they've both experienced the loss of their blond haired Steve to plane accidents but I think they're both tough women who are compassionate and have enough differences to make a fun ship. They're both a little jaded but still have a lot of hope/always want to do what's right, and I can see them drawn to one another.

Prompts:
1. they bond upon locking eyes but it's bad timing (maybe they're both on a mission/undercover)
2. the red string of fate connects them but only one can see it

Jess Mariano (Gilmore Girls)/Peyton Sawyer (One Tree Hill): For some reason, I'm really fascinated with the idea of these two. They're both interested in music and while Peyton isn't as big a reader as Jess is, I think they would get along, after maybe initially being snarky and clashing if they met when they're teenagers.

Prompts:
1. the first words are what someone else said about your soulmate and Peyton's aren't so kind about Jess and she's been dreading meeting him
2. they have a meet ugly at a coffee shop

Rory Gilmore (Gilmore Girls)/Lucas Scott (One Tree Hill): I thought they had chemistry when CMM played Tristan but I think personality wise, Lucas would be much more fitting for Rory. Even though Lucas plays basketball, they both love to read and love music and are a bit more on the reserved/introverted side.

Prompts:
1. they misinterpret their soulmate marks and don't think it's the other one
2. coffee shop meet cute

Other Ships I like (for background, if necessary): Barry/Iris, Bruce/Selina (I know she wasn't in the DCEU so you can use your favorite interpretation)

Gen/Platonic: any combo of the Justice League, Clark & Martha, Clark & Steve, Lois & Steve

Arthur/Mera: I liked them in the first Aquaman movie and from what we saw in the ZSJL. The way they clashed and didn't get along due to their perceptions and then had to work together and fell in love is a dynamic I generally enjoy and it really worked for me.

Prompts:
1. they realize they're bonded when they're on the run and it helps them
2. atlanna is allowed to stay in exchange for arthur being bonded to/arrange to marry mera and they've gotten glimpses of each other's lives through the water since they were kids

Clark/Lois: They're great together. I love how mature and loving their relationship is. Lois figuring out Clark and his identity and Clark appreciating Lois for believing in him even in MoS was lovely. I didn't see BvS but the scene where Clark tells Lois that she is his world gets to me. I love the way that she was the one who calmed him down and brought him back post resurrection and I'm so glad that they seem to be not only engaged but have a baby after the ZSJL.

Prompts:
1. they've been dreaming of each other their whole lives
2. Clark believes in soulmates but Lois doesn't

Diana/Steve: I definitely fell for these two hard in the WW movie. I loved how they met, with Diana saving Steve, and how she took a risk to leave with him. The way he isn't intimidated by her and how they work together so well really sold me on the ship. I was happy to see Steve back in WW84 but I didn't like how he possessed someone else's body to return. AUs of the movie are more than welcome.

Prompts:
1. Being soulmates/having a soul bond gives Steve immortality and he finds out when he survives the explosion
2. Steve is reincarnated but his bond with Diana is still in tact and he longs for something he can't realize; meanwhile, Diana feels hers come back to life and doesn't understand

Jamie/Joan: They're my favorite enemies to lovers ship. I just like how Joan is just thoroughly unimpressed and unafraid of Jamie and Jamie is intrigued by Joan/convinced she will one up her and then forget her and just doesn't. Jamie painting Joan is one of my favorite scenes. Just a fun dynamic for sure and helps that these two have excellent chemistry.

Prompts:
1. they are both undercover at the same time and realize that they're soulmates
2. Jamie figures out that they're soulmates when she can't harm Joan

Sherlock/Joan: As much as I love their friendship, I ship them too. They just have great chemistry and I love watching their relationship grow and the mutual respect. Joan can stand up to Sherlock when he crosses a line and he obviously cares for her a lot. I like how at the end, they can freely admit that they love each other, especially Sherlock. They both have strengths and weaknesses and they balance each other out so well. I didn't like Joan/Mycroft but I would prefer that she wasn't using him as a substitute for Sherlock.

Prompts:
1. they realize they're soulmates when they first meet but Sherlock doesn't believe in the concept and Joan is in denial/wouldn't bond with a client
2. they can tell when the other one is in danger and it proves useful in cases

Fandom DNW: Rory bashing/shaming, Jess showing up other guys (especially Rory's exes or Christopher), Emily and Richard treated like they didn't do anything wrong

Other Ships I like (for background, if necessary): Sookie/Jackson, Emily/Richard, Paris/Jamie, Paris/Doyle. I'm okay with Lane/Zach if you want to set it in the later seasons

Gen/Platonic: Jess & Lane, Jess & Luke, Jess & Paris, Jess & April, Jess & Doula, Jess & Lily, Rory & Lorelai, Rory & Lane, Rory & Paris, Rory & April, Rory & Richard, Rory & Emily, Rory & Luke, Lorelai & Sookie, Lorelai & Emily, Lorelai & Richard

Lane/Dave: I really loved these two together. Lane is one of my favorite characters- she's funny, daring and loyal- and Dave was such a good guy. The way he was willing to go along with the secrecy even when it was complicated for them to see each other and read the whole Bible just to figure out what Mrs Kim meant was so great. I know they didn't work out because Adam Brody left to go on the OC but I wish it had. They seemed to really make each other happy.

Prompts:
1. Lane's words are very common so she doesn't know if she'll find her soulmate
2. they realize they're soulmates after they broke up

Luke/Lorelai: One of my favorite friends to lovers ships. I really liked how they bantered and were there for each other, even in s7 when they were broken up. Plus there were tons of 'almost' moments and signs of feelings before they were able to admit it. And denial was another fun aspect of this ship too! Another slow burn ship that was worth the wait, because their first kiss was one of my favorite moments. I hated how they had so many communication issues later on, but I was happy they ended up together. I like AUs, fics set during any point of the show, the Revival or anything in between.

Prompts:
1. they don't realize they've formed a soulbond/are soulmates because their connection/friendship/relationship is already so strong
2. since the soulmark the first words they say to each other, they know right away

Paris/Rory: My favorite rivals to friends (to lovers) ship! Paris is a great character and I love her dynamics with Rory. Rory was so patient with her in the early seasons- she was able to stand up to Paris when necessary but also was open to listening her to and being there for her when she needed a shoulder. That Chilton dynamic was fun but I also loved how it resulted in them being such good friends and their dynamic even in the Revival was so solid, which was great.

Prompts:
1. they each believe their bond is one sided and their soulmate is connected to another person when they're not
2. they could always sense when the other is around but didn't connect it to being soulmates at first

Rory/Jess: These two are one of my favorite ships. Some people like to read but for Rory and Jess, it is more than that, which is why their shared passion is so important. They found a connection with someone else who understood them. Sure, Jess was surly and closed off, but he was a teenager who had been neglected by his mom and didn't really have a reason to trust anyone. I like that Rory fell despite herself but she also was able to call him out, at when they were friends. And Jess had moments of softness toward her too. When they were good, they were great, and I wish we could've seen more of them actually dating rather than it being alluded to. And I love that Jess grew up, partially inspired by Rory but not just because of her (love his relationship with Luke). Grown up Jess in s6 was a treat and I do like to pretend they found their way back to one another. like anything set pre canon, during canon, canon divergences, AU after the s7 finale, complete AUs or compliant with the Revival. Not picky in that department. What I don't like though is that people acting like Rory doesn't deserve Jess or she has fallen too far off in the Revival. Sure she made mistakes but just like Rory accepted Jess, I don't think he would judge her for it and it's clear in canon he still believes in her. Another thing I love about them.

Prompts:
1. you can write messages to your soulmate on your skin, which rory and jess have been since they were kids
2. jess always was led to believe he didn't have a soulmate, until he met rory

MCU:

Freeforms: MCU - First Words Soulmarks Change After Character(s) Come Back From The Snap + Accidental Soulbond - Mutually Pining Characters Undercover as A Couple When Bond Happens + Accidental Soulbond - Undercover as Married Couple Mission Accidentally Turns Them Soul Bonded + Soulbonds - Unexpected Soulbond Complicates Undercover Work + Soulmarks - Your Mark Burns When You Tell a Lie to your Soulmate + Soulmates - Soulmates Share Dreams Before Meeting + Soulmarks - Knowing soulmate is still alive because soulmark hasn't faded/changed/disappeared + Soulmarks - Soulmate A hides soulmark from Soulmate B because they don’t think they deserve B + Soulmates - Realize they are Soulmates at Very Different Times + Scenario - One Person's Soulmark is Damaged Before Soulmates Meet + Soulmates - Can sense when the other is in mortal danger + Soulmates - Can Sense Each Other Nearby - Even Before They've Met + Soulmates - Red String of Fate Connects Soulmates + Soulmates - String Tying Soulmates Together Can Only Be Seen By Soulmates + Soulbond - Accidental Soulbond Proves Useful in a Dangerous Situation + Soulmarks - First words person says to you about your soulmate are written across your skin + Scenario - A Soulbonds to B as the last resort to save B's life and then panics + Scenario - A Soulbonding to B as the only means to save injured B's life leads to feelings + Alt Timelines - A/B are soulmates in every universe + Accidental Soulbond - Formed during 'just one time' hookup

Fandom DNW: Steve/Steve's Endgame ending bashing (feel free to ignore), rehash of CW debate with bias toward one side (I'm on Team Cap but I don't want to go over it again), past/present/unrequited Steve/Bucky or Steve/Sam, focus on Zemo, Bucky only having flirted with Sarah to make Sam jealous

Other Ships I like (for background, if necessary): Bruce/Betty, Bucky/Darcy, Bucky/Sam/Rhodey, Bucky/Natasha/Sam, Clint/Coulson, Clint/Laura, Natasha/Clint/Coulson, Natasha/Rhodey, Natasha/Sharon, Natasha/T'Challa, Nebula/Rhodey, Carol/Rhodey, Sam/Rhodey, Sam/Erik Killmonger, Sam/T'Challa, Steve/Tony, T'Challa/Nakia, T'Challa/M'Baku, Thor/Jane, Thor/Sif, Tony/Pepper

Bucky/Natasha: I haven't read the comics but I think the potential of these two is intriguing. They both have darkish pasts that they struggle to go past and want to make the right choices. Both have a dry sense of humor and I feel like Natasha would enjoy teasing Bucky the way she does Steve. Natasha has said to have lost to the Winter Soldier multiple times so they have clashed in the past and I definitely would've been interested in seeing more of them together in the MCU. I am good with it being set during TFATWS too, with Natasha's death being handwaved or she is return when Steve returns the soul stone

Prompts:
1. there is a string of fate tying Natasha and Bucky but only they can see it
2. they accidentally bond and they're both reluctant for different reasons, but it proves useful when they're in trouble

Bucky/Sam: I liked the idea of them when I noticed how much chemistry Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan had during their TWS press tour, but I think I really fell for them during CACW. I just love frenemies to lovers/bickering friends and they gave it to me in spades, especially the scene in the car and the "I hate you". The fact we got to move from that to the soft look Bucky gave Sam in Endgame was such a treat and everything that developed during TFATWS was even better. Never imagined I could get this much content for them. Bucky has been through so much and I love that Sam just doesn't treat him with kid gloves. They have this special bond and I love it a lot. Sam's one of my overall favorite characters- I loved him immediately in TWS and he is just the best. The way he is brave and fights for what he believes and is such a good friend are some of his (many) great traits. Plus he is good at cutting through the BS, which is why he didn't tolerate Rumlow's monologue or even Zemo's attempts at manipulation. I'm fine with fics set anywhere after TWS, pre-canon, TFATWS, or total AUs.

Prompts:
1. they return from the Snap and realize they're soulmates (eventually)
2. Bucky soulbonds with Sam to save his life and then panics

Maria/Natasha: Natasha and Maria are both hardworking, intelligent, and both have their guard up a little and understandably don't trust easily. At the same time, they each have a sense of humor that we got to see in small doses, like when Maria let her guard down early on in AOU. They've obviously worked together for a long time and I just think they would really connect and their personalities would mesh.

Prompts:
1. the first words are what someone else says about your soulmate and it makes them wary of one another, at first
2. they're undercover as a couple when a bond forms

Peggy/Steve: I really loved them in TFA- the way Steve was amused at Peggy immediately and Peggy being interested in pre-serum Steve just won me over. Tons of UST. This is the ship I truly didn't think I would see together again, even though I appreciated all the moments of Steve loving Peggy in the present day and Peggy still loving Steve in Agent Carter so for them to get their dance and a happy ending in one timeline made me really happy.

Prompts:
1. Peggy knows that Steve isn't dead because her bond/mark is still strong and they find him sooner
2. There is a red string of fate that is tying them together

Peggy/Natasha: I just like the idea of this ship. I can see them getting along- both are strong, passionate and tough and Peggy is a little more impulsive but that is what would make it fun. I said 'MCU' but feel free to go with Peggy's episode of "What If" and run with the Captain Carter route.

Prompts:
1. a one night stands leads to an accidental soulbond
2. Captain Carter 'verse where they form a bond when undercover

Pepper/Natasha: I liked their interactions in Iron Man 2 and I wish we could've seen more of them. They seemed to get along/like one another, and I think their personalities would work well in the long term too.

Prompts:
1. they've always been able to sense when each other before they met and it is weird until they actually meet
2. mark burns when you lie to your soulmate

Natasha/Sam: I really liked these two during TWS. I thought they had good chemistry and I feel like their personalities mesh. They both have a sense of humor, have strong values and are very loyal and brave. It is one of the couples I really could've seen working in canon. Sam's one of my favorites- he's kind but no nonsense and has the attitude that Natasha would appreciate.

Prompts:
1. Natasha's mark is damaged before they met
2. they have a one night stand at any point before TWS or during canon and it turns out they're soulbonded

Sharon/Maria: I like the idea of this ship. They're both really competent and unafraid to stand their ground and do what's right (at least pre TFATWS for Sharon).

Prompts:
1. they are undercover and it is complicated when they find out they are soulbonded
2. Maria returns from the Snap with different words (or maybe she didn't have any before and now she does)

Steve/Tony: I fell for them in the Avengers movie and they quickly became one of my OTPs. Ships that initially fight but are on the same side are definitely a favorite of mine and I liked how they progressed during that movie. Their ups and downs over the course of the rest were hard but they had some really great moments. I don't blame Steve for not telling Tony about Bucky (it's easy to say Tony wouldn't have killed Bucky while watching afar and be a little more wary when you are in the moment) and I don't blame Tony for being hurt. Both are stubborn and have communication issues for sure but they do have common goals and I'm just a sucker for scenes like Tony giving Steve his shield back in Endgame and Steve being all "I do" when asked if he trusted him. The way they were able to communicate effortlessly despite all that time apart (when communication issues were the problem!) was a delight to see. Plus you know they shared a bed on Clint's farm. I just would prefer that while they work on their issues, I don't want one of them grovelling to the other the entire time.

Prompts:
1. they find out they're soulmates in every universe
2. they realize they are soulmates at different times - if you want to maximize angst, Tony knew pre CACW and Steve figured it out after

Other Ships I like: Jason/Trini, Jason/Kat, Trini/Billy, Rocky/Adam, Rocky/Adam/Aisha. If it isn't listed here and doesn't involve separating Kim/Tommy, it should be fine.

Gen/Platonic: any combo of the Power Rangers

Kimberly/Tommy: This was my 'shipped before I knew what shipping was' ship. The original OTP. I just loved Kim as a kid and Tommy felt like such a dashing knight in shining armor. I thought they were really sweet together. I like how she's just so compassionate and caring but can also kick butt and is really there for the ones she cares about and how he's a great guy with his own insecurities. I would love anything from the show to the '95 movie (which I used to rewatch all the time as a kid) to set post breakup.

Prompts:
1. they find out they're soulmates when Tommy is brainwashed and he still can't hurt Kim or when Kim is brainwashed during the Turbo movie and still can't hurt Tommy
2. they realize they are soulmates/accidentally get soulbonded after their breakup
3. they each think the other is bonded to someone else but they're not

Fandom DNW: Arrowverse characters/fanon ships, "Crisis on Infinite Earths" canon (namely Clark giving up his powers for good)

Other Ships I like (for background): Martha/Jonathan, Lois/Kara, Kara/Jimmy, Kara/Lana, Kara/Chloe, Oliver/Dinah, Oliver/Chloe, Chloe/Victor, Chloe/George Dean (guy she was with in Apocalypse AU), Chloe/Lana, Chloe/Bart, Bart/Mia, AC/Mera, Lex/Lana (as long as he doesn't go evil), Lana/Jason (again, as long as he doesn't go evil), Tess/Emil

Gen/Platonic: any combo of the SV Justice League, Clark & Martha & Jonathan, Clark & Kara, Clark & Lana, Clark & Lois, Clark & Oliver, Clark & Lex, Clark & Tess, Lois & Lana, Lois & Oliver, Lois & Martha, Oliver & Mia, Oliver & Tess

Clark/Lois: A canon OTP for me. I really loved other version of Clois but this one is my favorite. I fell for them immediately and I absolutely loved their frenemies to lovers journey- their banter was fun, but I also enjoyed the way they got close immediately, in between Clark being there for Lois after her sister left again (and later with even with some of the guys she dated- he definitely came off as jealous of AC) and Lois stopping Clark from murdering Alicia's killer- they were really strong friends and their journey to realizing how they felt was lovely. They definitely flirted (see: dunk tank scene) and suppressed some feelings over the years, but when they were finally on the same page and got together, it was well worth the wait. He really lets her in and fights for her and she makes him laugh and loves all sides of Clark. In the end, they just love each other for all that they are, flaws and all. Lois getting close to Clark's parents even before they were together (and how they love her) is another point that I appreciated. I like anything set during canon or divergences or post canon (or in that seven year gap) or complete AUs. I only ask that you don't make Lana the villain should you go this route. I am not a fan of Clana but I also think she would be supportive and not derail them.

Prompts:
1. Clark gets partial amnesia and only remembers pres8 and doesn't know Lois is his soulmate but feels a stronger connection to her anyway
2. they meet an AU version of one of them who knows that they're soulmates because they are in every universe

Clark/Lois/Oliver: My OT3. While I love the individual ships in it, I also love the dynamic they have as a trio. We didn't get to see as many scenes with just them as I would've liked but the ones were got were really great. They really balance one another out. Each of them has something in common with one of the others (Clark with Ollie, Clark with Lois, Lois with Ollie) but they're different enough to really make it interesting. I'm good with the three of them getting together at the same time or two of them already being together and including the third.

Prompts:
1. they all have matching marks but maybe Lois and Oliver don't realize there is a third out there yet (don't recognize the Kryptonian mark possibly?)
2. Oliver finds out that they are both his soulmates but doesn't think he deserves them/that they would be and are happier without him

Clark/Oliver: Another OTP. I didn't expect to fall for them as hard as I did in s6 but I just loved their dynamic. The push and pull and the way they had this ultimate respect for one another was great but then it grew in s8-10. It was tough watching them fight but I did like how they always came back together, and even when they didn't agree, they cared about each other with Clark always believing Oliver was better and Oliver reminding Clark that the Kandorians weren't the only family that he had. One of my favorite moments was when Clark said that he hadn't quit on Oliver Queen in "Echo". One thing I do ask if that if you choose to set it in the later seasons that Lois doesn't get hurt. I am fine with handwaving the Clois romance rather than her having unrequited feelings or them breaking up because I adore her/don't want to see her hurt and I love Clois.

Prompts:
1. Clark bonds with Oliver to save his life
2. Clark has the rare ability to see red strings of fate

Lois/Lana: They had their own little meet cute at the graveyard. I liked how they were friends right away and how Lois took to Lana immediately. They clearly get along very well and they had some good chemistry to which I can see them being a couple. Lois respects Lana and has listed her virtues to even Clark and Lana called Lois a good listener. I haven't read the s11 comics but it seems they had some good scenes there and Lana even gave Lois (and Clark) her blessing. On that note, please don't make Clark the villain or have them hook up because one or both are pining over him.

Prompts:
1. the mark represents something unique about your soulmate and they don't recognize each other as their soulmate at first
2. the words are the first thing other people say so maybe lana knows earlier about lois because chloe mentioned her or something

Lois/Tess: I fell for these two immediately after their first scene in "Odyssey". I have to admit I had my doubts on Tess because she seemed like too much of a Lex replacement but I was won over right away and I shipped these two a lot. They had such chemistry right off the bat and it never faded. I loved them when they were at each other's throats and also loved how they became friends/trusted each other in s10. They're both strong willed, determined and they want to do what it is right- Lois is a little more brash while Tess is more calculated but at the end of the day, they ended up on the same side. I like fic set during any of those time periods, preferably AUs where Clois never got together if it is in the later seasons.

Prompts:
1. they realize they're soulmates when they go undercover as a couple
2. Tess doesn't think she deserves Lois

Lana/Tess: They may not have had many scenes together but what they did have sold me on the chemistry and potential. Both of them are complicated and want to do what is right/be the hero (Tess has obviously had more stumbles than Lana) and they were each manipulated by Lex at some point. Lana already saw how Tess could be a good person and I think they would get along if they spent time in later seasons together, especially after Tess officially switches sides.

Prompts:
1. Lana has Tess's birth name and it causes some confusion/angst/misunderstandings
2. they have a one night stand and form a soulbond

Star Trek (AOS):

Freeforms: Scenario - Amnesia makes characters forget they are soulmates but they can still feel it + Alt Timelines - A/B form an accidental soulbond when they get close in every universe + Alt Timelines - A/B are soulmates in every universe + Alt Timelines - Character knows their counterpart's soulmate because it's the same in their universe + Soulbonds - Telepathic Connection at First Sight + Soulmates - Can sense when the other is in mortal danger + Soulmates - Soulmates Share Dreams Before Meeting + Soulmates - Red String of Fate Connects Soulmates + Worldbuilding - Ability to see the red strings of fate is extremely rare/sought after + Scenario - Character A is from a culture/species that believes in soulmates; Character B is not + Worldbuilding - Different Cultures/Species Have Different Soulmark Variations + Soulmates - Different Species Have Different Ways of Determining Soulmates + Soulbond - Accidental Soulbond Proves Useful in a Dangerous Situation + Soulmarks - Knowing soulmate is still alive because soulmark hasn't faded/changed/disappeared + Soulmarks - Misinterpreting Ambiguous Soulmarks + Soulmarks - First words person says to you about your soulmate are written across your skin + Soulmarks - Represent something unique and individual about your soulmate + Soulmarks - Soulmate A hides soulmark from Soulmate B because they don’t think they deserve B + Soulmates - Char A Knows They're Soulmates but Doesn't Tell Char B - Leads to Pining and Angst + Soulmates - Realize they are Soulmates at Very Different Times

Other Ships I like (for background): Carol Marcus/Bones, Bones/Uhura, Bones/Chapel, Chapel/Uhura, Amanda/Sarek

Gen/Platonic: any combo of the Enterprise crew, Kirk & Bones, Kirk & Winona, Spock & Amanda

Gaila/Uhura: I liked Gaila in the first Star Trek movie and I was interested in their friendship. They had some fun chemistry. I liked how they were both different, with Gaila being more open and playful and Uhura being more reserved, but at the same time, they seemed genuinely fond of one another. They would make a cute couple. I was sad we didn't see Gaila again/she was presumed dead.

Prompts:
1. Gaila is presumed dead/missing post AOS but Uhura knows she's alive because her mark/bond is still there
2. they realize they're soulmates at different times
3. Uhura knows they're soulmates but thinks that Gaila wouldn't be interested/doesn't believe in them

Kirk/Spock: I'm a sucker for the frenemies to lovers dynamic, where the ship doesn't get along right away but has to work together and I loved it here too. I liked how they had their own biases against one another and then they both ended up growing along the way and needing each other. I especially like the 'I would cite regulation'/'see we're already getting to know each other' from the first movie and despite whatever issues I had with Into Darkness, my shippy heart does love Spock losing his mind over Kirk dying (and how Kirk's final confession could have been an admission of his feelings).

Prompts:
1. Kirk has the ability to see the red string of fate
2. they meet alternate versions of themselves and find out they are soulmates in every universe
3. Kirk has amnesia but is drawn to Spock anyway (or maybe he only remembers when they were antagonistic)

Fandom DNW: Sam/Rebecca - either there or treated as bad or immoral/references to how she used him as a substitute, Nate bashing/focus on his comeuppance

Other Ships I like: The Higgins, Sam/Dani

Gen/Platonic: any combo of AFC Richmond players, Ted & Beard, Ted & Roy, Ted & Jamie, Roy Beard, Roy & Jamie, Keeley & Jamie, Rebecca & Higgins, Rebecca & Keeley, Rebecca & Nora, Rebecca & Sassy

Keeley/Roy: I just loved their relationship on the show. How they came together, and how they communicate and make it over their hurdles and how *into* each other they were. Also so supportive and reassuring. Really adorable. I was very sad about their breakup in s3 but I like to imagine they found their way back to each other post canon. I'm fine with fics set at any point or AUs where they didn't break up at all.

Prompts:
1. they are bonded/realize they're soulmates after they break up
2. one of them knows their soulmates before the other does (maybe it's Roy who doesn't like/believe in them/thinks it is one sided)

Keeley/Roy/Jamie: I like the potential of these three. Roy and Jamie have come so far, Roy and Keeley are adorable, and of course Keeley and Jamie's friendship is great too and it is clear there could still be some feelings. Especially in the second half of season 2 and season 3. They were all literally sitting in a triangle when Roy and Keeley went to go see Jamie and Jamie had their posters up side by side! So in sync.

Prompts:
1. they all realize they're soulmates at different times
2. they have matching marks

Sam/Jamie: The casual way Jamie drapes himself over Sam now and how far they've come really has sold me on the potential of this ship. The contrast between their relationship with their fathers is also intriguing. I like how that since Jamie hurt Sam worse than others, he had to work harder to win back his trust and forgiveness and now they've come to the point where Sam can make fun of him and Jamie will wear Sam's number as a show of support.

Prompts:
1. they've been having dreams of each other before they met
2. Jamie has the ability to see the red string of fate but keeps it hidden because it is so rare

Ted/Rebecca: I liked the idea of them in s1 but I really fell for them in s2. They've come along so far and even if there were episodes where they didn't directly interact as much or at all, they were clearly still in each other's lives, I especially liked how Rebecca was the one to notice Ted was having a panic attack or the moments during Rebecca's father's funeral, like Ted being the one to pick up the song and remind Rebecca of a happy moment of her father. I also thought their faces when they seemed shocked/confused at being so in sync was a good jumping off point for a realization of feelings.

Prompts:
1. they realize that being apart causes actual pain and that leads them to find out they're soulmates
2. they don't realize they're soulmates/have a bond because they're already so connected

What If ...?

Freeforms: Soulmarks - Soulmate's name appears on body + Soulbonds - Increase users' powers + Soulmates - Newly-Discovered Soulmates Are Fluffily Obsessed With Each Other + Soulmates - Char A Knows They're Soulmates but Doesn't Tell Char B - Leads to Pining and Angst + Soulmates - Realize they are Soulmates at Very Different Times + Soulmates - Can Sense Each Other Nearby - Even Before They've Met + Soulmates - Can sense when the other is in mortal danger + Soulmates - Soulmates Share Dreams Before Meeting + Soulmarks - First words person says to you about your soulmate are written across your skin + Soulmarks - Represent something unique and individual about your soulmate + Soulmarks - Misinterpreting Ambiguous Soulmarks + Soulmarks - Soulmarks appear in hard-to-see places + Soulmates - Discover soulmate first time you make eye contact with them + Any - Souls connect at first skin-to-skin contact + Soulbond - Accidental Soulbond Proves Useful in a Dangerous Situation + Accidental Soulbond - Mutually Pining Characters Undercover as A Couple When Bond Happens + Soulmates - Red String of Fate Connects Soulmates + Soulmarks - Knowing soulmate is still alive because soulmark hasn't faded/changed/disappeared + Scenario - A Soulbonding to B as the only means to save injured B's life leads to feelings + Soulmates - A timer counts down until the second you meet your soulmate

Peggy/Steve: They were just so adorable! I love the role reversal and how Steve was so supportive and didn't have any resentment against Peggy and they were all around smitten with one another. It was sad when they were separated but there was hope that Steve was alive after all. I would love anything before or after or total AUs is good too.

Prompts:
1. Steve knows Peggy is still alive because his mark hasn't faded and he decides to bring her home/go where she is
2. they realize they're soulmates right away
3. Peggy bonds with Steve when he is injured
