For sure! Some of the ideas were solid but the execution was just not it. Seeing Emily and Lorelai in therapy was nice in theory, but wasting time on some letter than we never even got the answer to was strange, as was Lorelai's speech. Someone pointed out that it would make more sense for her to accidentally insult him by saying that Rory was like the daughter he wished he had rather than whatever she did. Her freaking out on the DAR ladies was funny.

Definitely! She missed out on Rory's childhood, for the most part, and I could see her wanting to be closer. If it is a boy, I can see Rory naming him Richard.
