I did too. The problem it felt like the original show runners used it to write their version of s7 and it just doesn't work ten years later. It really could've been much better. Someone said that there should've been 8 episodes of 45 mins rather than 4 of 90 and for the type of show it is, while the seasonal themes wouldn't work anymore, it would've been more fitting.
