I agree with you that the revival they were pushing what they had wanted to do that last season and didn't get to, but a lot it didn't quite work 10 years later. Lorelai and Luke should have been married by then. I know they wanted to give the fans a wedding, but they could have made it a flashback or had them do a vow renewal or so many other things, lol. I wanted to see Rory as a successful journalist too but seeing her struggle was realistic and relatable.
I didn't like that she kept forgetting her b/f. That was just not funny and didn't fit her character. I didn't like Logan being engaged and still hooking up and hung up on Rory. I agree with you I didn't understand Paris freaking out bathroom scene. I get they wanted them to go back to the Chilton roots, but I felt they also did a disservice to Paris' character too with the revival and was out of character for her too.
