I only started watching 9-1-1 during season 7, so I had a lot to catch up with on screen and off. While I enjoyed Buck&Eddie's chemistry and ship them, I have to admit I was drawn to Ryan & Oliver's off screen dynamic too. The fact that the first movie Oliver auditioned for was The Boy Next Door and he lost that to Ryan alone was crazy and how Oliver has claimed to relate to Buck with how he felt when Ryan came on the show. They had/have a great dynamic in their interviews and have since season 2, and they were apparently on the outs at one point too because of Ryan (and I don't agree with/support what RG has said/liked in the past). Their press tour pre-s8 finale was a lot of fun, specifically the Buzzfeed Thirst Tweets (RG went as red as I thought he would) and the upfronts. I love the pictures that Oliver takes, especially the ones of Ryan, and I think the cast has a good chemistry in general and seem to have fun together.
I love shippy fic, but gen fic with more of the main cast (Kenny, Peter, Aisha, Anirudh, etc) is welcome! I love Kenny&Ryan's shenanigans as well as how close Aisha&Oliver are, plus how Anirudh and Oliver seem to have bonded/enjoy annoying each other more recently.

Kendall Hart: She was my favorite, even as she was manipulative and self destructive and made questionable choices, but that's a soap opera for you! That's basically everyone lol She also did a good job of pulling on heart strings and was an interesting character. I really liked her best with Ryan, even if I could tell they were pushing for Greenlee/Ryan. I also enjoyed her dynamics with her sister, mom, and Greenlee too. I wasn't a huge fan of her relationship with Zach - I would've preferred them as friends and despite how it ended, I really liked how she and Ethan started out.

Maggie Stone: I liked Maggie and I really was disappointed with what they did to her character, as well as what they did with Maggie&Bianca. They finally got together, but then they both left, and broke up because Maggie cheated? It felt OOC. I loved them and I even liked Maggie & Jamie. They were a fun duo that had some romantic potential. I read a fic a long time ago about Greenlee/Maggie that sold me on them too.

Greenlee Smythe: Another complex interesting character! I had more of a love/hate relationship with her early on, but she grew on me for sure. My unpopular opinion is that while she and Ryan made great friends, their relationship felt a bit forced. Her and Leo are the OTP, but I did really like her with Aidan - they were not a couple I would've expected but I liked them a lot, and the way her relationship with Kendall developed was one of my favorites.

Ryan Lavery: Ryan tried his best to be noble, even if he was a bit condescending at times. He was complicated, wanted to do right by his family/friends and tried to be better, even if he fell along the way. I liked how he tried to help Jonathan and Erin getting killed broke my heart. He and Annie were kinda sweet, so it was a shame that it didn't work out, and what they did to her in general (same with Aidan tbh). Gillian was obviously important and I love him with Kendall, but if it couldn't be Kendall, I did prefer Annie. Hooking up with Erica was weird to me though and I try to pretend it never happened lol

Shawn Hunter: I really love his character and how he grew over the show. He's sweet, vulnerable at times, and very loyal. If you go for the character study route, I am good with anything set anywhere in canon or post canon. I've only seen a couple of episodes of Girl Meets World but I'm fine with it being set toward that timeline.

Angela Moore: I thought she was great. I liked how she was snarky and had layers and even how she ended up developing an unlikely friendship with Cory. I was sad to see her written out before the finale.

Rahul Raichand: Shah Rukh Khan was my favorite actor and I was so soft for Rahul. He adored his parents, was a romantic, and very playful/could be a pain in the ass. I felt really bad for him when he followed his heart, only to be turned away by his overbearing father. Even when he became a lot sterner in the second half of the movie, he still clearly adored his family and his wife.

Anjali Sharma: Kajol is a delight in this role and watching her was a highlight. Anjali was fun, free spirited, clumsy but also fiercely loyal, stuck to her morals, and could be vulnerable. She lost her father, only to face rejection from her in laws and left her home behind to move to a whole new country with her husband. Also, her fake British accent did make me laugh.

Pooja Sharma: Young Pooja was a little bully but she was also entertaining and older Pooja did a good job of seeming shallow on the surface but clearly had depth and cared about her sister and BIL deeply. Her friendship with young!Rohan was sweet and she and Rohan had great chemistry when they met again.

Rohan Raichand: Rohan was such a cute kid. I felt so bad for him, first being sent off to boarding school because of "tradition" and then, he lost his brother for a decade. That was just heartbreaking, and I like the way he pushed to reunite his family, stood up to his dad, and successfully ended up getting his brother, SIL and nephew home.

Fanny Price: I like that despite her being soft spoken, she knew what her morals were and was determined to stand by them, ready to go against everyone else when she was fighting against what she wanted to do.

Fanny/Henry: She made the right choice in rejecting him but I liked the potential. The way he thought it was a game and then got rejected and ended up actually curious/interested in her. If it had been a different story, they could've ended up together.

Brooke Davis: My favorite character on the show. I loved watching her grow, and even in s1, it was clearly very early on that there was more to her than meets the eye. She's very loyal and passionate and she's also vulnerable and quick and kind. I wasn't sure about her relationship with Lucas early in s1, since it was clear he was into Peyton, but I really liked the sides they brought out in each other, and I was sad about how they ended, after all the work he seemed to put in to get her back in s3. I actually liked their friendship in s5 and I thought they were cute with the baby. She had a great dynamic with Karen too! Of course I also loved her friendship with Peyton and even though they had their ups and downs, they found their way back to each other. I do like to claim that they''re one of the true love stories of the show. Rachel was a surprise but I shipped them in s4 and well, Brooke/Lindsey is my rare pair thanks to the chemistry they had when they first met.

Peyton Sawyer: I had my ups and downs with her, but like Brooke, she's flawed and has been hurt and has her guard up from the get go for valid reasons. I really liked her with Jake, and I knew they weren't going to end up together but man, she, Jake, and Jenny looked like a little family. I liked her budding friendship with Haley in s1 and how she and Brooke found their way back to each other. I think she had a little chemistry with Ana, and there's something fun about how she could go from hate to something more with both Rachel (less than Brooke) and Lindsey.

-she and Jake find their "someday" (maybe post breakup, they run into each other and they're both hurt/distant but can't stay away)

Lucas Scott: I had a crush on CMM when I was younger, probably from Gilmore Girls even though Tristan was a jerk. Lucas was definitely more my type though - he loved to read, he was gentle, and a bit of a romantic and a good, loyal friend and son. I was frustrated with his actions later on though, especially with his romantic choices, but I guess that's what happens in these teen shows (Nathan turned out to be the more steady one, even if his sudden inability to tell that women were into him was weird). I liked that he became a writer and I love his relationship with his mom and Nathan and Haley and Keith too (ugh Keith's death broke my heart too) and I felt for him with his dad (same with Nathan in different ways) and heart issues that caused him to have to give up his favorite sport competitively. I preferred him with Brooke because they balanced each other out nicely. I was fine with Lindsey, even if I felt he pushed too soon and was shocked that he did actually say "I do" at the alter, and I'm okay with Leyton in the background.

Rachel Gatina: I didn't think I would like Rachel much, especially with the way they set her up as the antagonist. Don't get me wrong, she was funny (her calling out Brooke and Peyton's relationship got to me) and beautiful and snarky but also I was pro Haley going after her with the way she was trying to shamelessly get with Nathan (and he had his faults but I did enjoy him making it clear it wasn't never going to happen). s4 really changed things, namely her relationship with Brooke. I liked seeing them together and I was disappointed what they did with her character in the long run. I saw parts of s5 and while I'm aware of most of what happens later I'm okay with hand waving it too and welcome canon divergences.

Jessica Wakefield: Looking back, Jessica did some wild things that I didn't totally grasp when I was started reading this, though I did think she was pretty out there at the time. Her relationships were interesting, even with the vampire guy. Sam and Nick from SVU were my favorites, and I was so sad that one of them died and Nick had to go into witness protection. She was fun to read about though.
Prompts:
-AU where Sam didn't die in the accident. There's relief but also he'd be upset when he finds out her part in Elizabeth getting drunk. How does everything, including the Margo plot, play out?

Elizabeth Wakefield: She was my favorite of the twins when I was younger because she was good and kind, but she definitely had her own set of issue (she cheated on her boyfriends as much as Jessica!). But she also had to bail out her sister a lot too. I had moments of liking most of her romantic relationships, including Tom in SVU before he refused to believe her over his dad. Conner in SV Senior Year was kind of insufferable though.

Lila Fowler: She was a fun side character who I really considered more when she had the focus in the John assault/fire plot. Her dynamic with Jessica over all the books was really fun and I shipped them too. I loved her with Bruce though in SVU and I loved how that relationship developed and how steady they became.

Sadie Green: She was really interesting and I liked her character and how all three of them were complex and flawed and struggled and made mistakes. Her relationship with Dov left me uncomfortable, and I was glad when she got away from him. I was sad how miscommunication really hurt all of them at points, but it made sense for the plot too. I ended up really liking her with Marx, which I didn't see coming when I first started, and on the other hand, outside of maybe the courthouse scene, didn't get a lot of romantic chemistry with Sam, but I did like their platonic dynamic and was glad they didn't get together.

Marx Watanabe: I think he ended up being my favorite, just because he was so kind and genuine. I thought he was a great friend and he really believed in both of them, had a big heart, and deserved better than what he got in the end. His death really felt unnecessary. I ended up shipping him with Sadie because they balanced each other out and had chemistry.

I only started watching 9-1-1 during season 7, so I had a lot to catch up with on screen and off. While I enjoyed Buck&Eddie's chemistry and ship them, I have to admit I was drawn to Ryan & Oliver's off screen dynamic too. The fact that the first movie Oliver auditioned for was The Boy Next Door and he lost that to Ryan alone was crazy and how Oliver has claimed to relate to Buck with how he felt when Ryan came on the show. They had/have a great dynamic in their interviews and have since season 2, and they were apparently on the outs at one point too because of Ryan (and I don't agree with/support what RG has said/liked in the past). Their press tour pre-s8 finale was a lot of fun, specifically the Buzzfeed Thirst Tweets (RG went as red as I thought he would) and the upfronts. I love the pictures that Oliver takes, especially the ones of Ryan, and I think the cast has a good chemistry in general and seem to have fun together.
I love shippy fic, but gen fic with more of the main cast (Kenny, Peter, Aisha, Anirudh, etc) is welcome! I love Kenny&Ryan's shenanigans as well as how close Aisha&Oliver are, plus how Anirudh and Oliver seem to have bonded/enjoy annoying each other more recently.

I really liked her best with Ryan, even if I could tell they were pushing for Greenlee/Ryan. I also enjoyed her dynamics with her sister, mom, and Greenlee too. I wasn't a huge fan of her relationship with Zach - I would've preferred them as friends and despite how it ended, I really liked how she and Ethan started out.

They were a fun duo that had some romantic potential. I read a fic a long time ago about Greenlee/Maggie that sold me on them too.

Greenlee Smythe: Another complex interesting character! I had more of a love/hate relationship with her early on, but she grew on me for sure. Her and Leo are the OTP, but I did really like her with Aidan - they were not a couple I would've expected but I liked them a lot, and the way her relationship with Kendall developed was one of my favorites.

He and Annie were kinda sweet, so it was a shame that it didn't work out, and what they did to her in general (same with Aidan tbh). Gillian was obviously important and I love him with Kendall, but if it couldn't be Kendall, I did prefer Annie. Hooking up with Erica was weird to me though and I try to pretend it never happened lol

Rahul Raichand: Shah Rukh Khan was my favorite actor and I was so soft for Rahul. He adored his parents, was a romantic, and very playful/could be a pain in the ass. I felt really bad for him when he followed his heart, only to be turned away by his overbearing father. Even when he became a lot sterner in the second half of the movie, he still clearly adored his family and his wife.

She lost her father, only to face rejection from her in laws and left her home behind to move to a whole new country with her husband. Also, her fake British accent did make me laugh.

Brooke Davis: My favorite character on the show. I loved watching her grow, and even in s1, it was clearly very early on that there was more to her than meets the eye. She's very loyal and passionate and she's also vulnerable and quick and kind. I wasn't sure about her relationship with Lucas early in s1, since it was clear he was into Peyton, but I really liked the sides they brought out in each other, and I was sad about how they ended, after all the work he seemed to put in to get her back in s3. I actually liked their friendship in s5 and I thought they were cute with the baby. She had a great dynamic with Karen too! Of course I also loved her friendship with Peyton and even though they had their ups and downs, they found their way back to each other. I do like to claim that they''re one of the true love stories of the show. Rachel was a surprise but I shipped them in s4 and well, Brooke/Lindsey is my rare pair thanks to the chemistry they had when they first met.

I liked her budding friendship with Haley in s1 and how she and Brooke found their way back to each other. I think she had a little chemistry with Ana, and there's something fun about how she could go from hate to something more with both Rachel (less than Brooke) and Lindsey.

Lucas Scott: I had a crush on CMM when I was younger, probably from Gilmore Girls even though Tristan was a jerk. Lucas was definitely more my type though - he loved to read, he was gentle, and a bit of a romantic and a good, loyal friend and son. I was frustrated with his actions later on though, especially with his romantic choices, but I guess that's what happens in these teen shows (Nathan turned out to be the more steady one, even if his sudden inability to tell that women were into him was weird). I liked that he became a writer and I love his relationship with his mom and Nathan and Haley and Keith too (ugh Keith's death broke my heart too) and I felt for him with his dad (same with Nathan in different ways) and heart issues that caused him to have to give up his favorite sport competitively. I preferred him with Brooke because they balanced each other out nicely. I was fine with Lindsey, even if I felt he pushed too soon and was shocked that he did actually say "I do" at the alter, and I'm okay with Leyton in the background.

I liked seeing them together and I was disappointed what they did with her character in the long run. I saw parts of s5 and while I'm aware of most of what happens later I'm okay with hand waving it too and welcome canon divergences.

She was fun to read about though.

Conner in SV Senior Year was kind of insufferable though.

Sadie Green: She was really interesting and I liked her character and how all three of them were complex and flawed and struggled and made mistakes. Her relationship with Dov left me uncomfortable, and I was glad when she got away from him. I was sad how miscommunication really hurt all of them at points, but it made sense for the plot too. I ended up really liking her with Marx, which I didn't see coming when I first started, and on the other hand, outside of maybe the courthouse scene, didn't get a lot of romantic chemistry with Sam, but I did like their platonic dynamic and was glad they didn't get together.
