"I don't like it."

Chloe sighed, exasperated as her boyfriend pouted. Though Oliver Queen would never admit to said pouting, she knew pouting when she saw it. She had been best friends with Clark Kent for almost a decade after all.

"What's wrong with it this time?" she wondered aloud.

"I don't know," Oliver replied, frowning. "It's just too ... white."

"Too white?" Chloe repeated incredulously. "Ollie, the last one was too red, and before it was too purple ... there are only so many colors out there."

"Yeah, but white?" Oliver asked. "I mean, it's a color that can easily get stained. Besides, isn't there any other fabric than leather?"

"Says the guy who parades around in green leather at night," Chloe retorted. "We decided I needed a costume and now you, the last person I thought would give me grief, is all of a sudden being super picky. What is wrong with you?"

Oliver ducked his head and muttered something she couldn't understand.

"What was that?" she asked.

"I said," he repeated in a louder voice, "You look too sexy."

"I'm sorry?" That was the last thing Chloe expected.

"You heard me," Oliver responded, uncharacteristically embarrassed.

"Yeah, but I am starting to wonder if I need my hearing checked," Chloe told him.

"Have you looked in the mirror?" he shot back. "I mean, I don't want the rest of the team staring at you. Not that they don't do it enough. With the way they all flirt with you, they don't need encouragement."

"Oh my God," Chloe realized, "You're jealous." Oliver's expression remained unchanging. When he didn't say anything, she persisted, "What? Do you think someone is just going to come and steal you from me?"

"I don't exactly have the best luck with relationships," Oliver said, trying to regain his composure but failing miserably. "I'm just wondering if one day you'll see the light and how screwed up I really am and find someone who deserves you."

"That's crazy," Chloe declared, closing the distance between them. To be honest, she was grateful he was comfortable enough to show her this more vulnerable side of him. "You deserve me. I mean, hello? It's not like I have had a clean dating record either. Ollie, I love you. I don't want any of those other guys. I belong to you and you alone."

"I guess I was being silly, huh?" Oliver said, a smile forming, as he wrapped his arms around her back.

"Nah, I can't say that I haven't wanted to claw out the eyes of some of those women who try to flirt with you," Chloe confessed.

"They got nothing on you, 'Tower," Oliver assured her, leaning down. "Because this goes both ways ... I belong to you too."

"You better believe it," Chloe said, smirking.

As their lips were about to touch, Oliver said, "Chloe?"

"Yeah?" she murmured.

"I really did like the red one," he said softly.

"We'll work it out later," she replied, before capturing his lips with hers.

After all, they always did.
