Like you, I was happy with a lot of the episode. Glad to hear I'm not the only one! :)
The acting from our regulars was great and I loved Teri's guest stint. Agreed! Teri wasn't there long but she really was awesome and managed to break my heart as Lois's mom.
Plus the bit with the Els was wonderful to see (and a bit of a surprise). I know! I didn't see that coming. Though my sister was looking at both Lara & Jor-El and was like, "Clearly Clark got the recessive gene" (with his hair color and stuff).
Tess and Granny Goodness gave us some scary moments. For sure. They really cast Granny Goodness well.
The script had some weak points but, overall, I was pleased with this episode. Same here. I think I'm easily satisfied with Smallville these days. I am able to overlook more. I guess I'm just happy they're dong right by Clois and Clark, which really is all I want to see. :D
