Dear creator,

Thank you for signing up for this exchange! This is my first time participating in FFFX, and I'm really excited to see what you come up with. As this is a longer fic exchange, I realize that prompts are important so I hope my letter helps you, though please feel free to disregard the prompts should you have an idea based off just the general likes/ships. They're just suggestions and not anything I'm expecting.

Smallville:

Clark Kent/Lois Lane & Tess Mercer & Oliver Queen: I enjoyed the dynamic they had in s10, especially once Tess was established as one of the team, and I would like to see more of this. I haven't read the s11 comics, but I am perfectly happy handwaving her death or if you would like to find a way for her to come back that plays into your plot, that is welcome too.

Prompts:
1. Doomsday returns and the fallout (please no permanent death for Clark though)
2. One of the team (Lois included) gets kidnapped and they have to coordinate a rescue
3. lighthearted fics, like what happen in "Fortune", with a team bonding/vacation and lots of hijinks. Other members of the team (Bart, Dinah, Victor, AC, etc) are also welcome.

Lois Lane/Tess Mercer: I loved them from their first meeting in s8. Their push/pull dynamic and how they transitioned from enemies to friends was great, and there were lots of undertones from the get go. Very easy to ship them for me.

As I am a fan of Clois, I would rather them just have been friends instead of breaking up/Clark being a villain. I'm a pretty picky shipper so if Clark is around, I would rather him be with Oliver or just leave him single.

Prompts:
1. soulmate AU- it would be interesting if they had each other's initials but Lois's were LLL because of Tess's birth name and considering all the LL people, it could be easy for all of them to get confused.
2. they start having hate sex in s8 and it just delves from there
3. The Proposal movie AU- Tess needs to get married to stay in the country and Lois gets roped in (maybe she's not a Luthor here?)
4. Lois and Tess meet before Tess ends upon the island, or an AU where Tess never ended up on the island, never leading her down the Luthor path and they met another way

Clark Kent/Lois Lane/Oliver Queen: Loved this dynamic and I wish they was more out there, because they had a lot of potential. Whether you want to set in s6 or later, I like them all. Also if you want Clark & Lois or Lois & Oliver to be established, bringing in the other as a third, I welcome that too. Or if all three get together at the same time.

Prompts:
1. soulmate AU- they each have two sets of symbols but it takes time to put it all together. I just think it'd be funny if Lois and Oliver are trying to analyze the House of El mark when neither of them know what it means.
2. s9 AU, where Oliver and Clark miss each other and start to pine, while Lois actually is torn between both of them. Maybe Oliver actually gets therapy/help after his suicide attempt in "Echo". Anything with the three of them pining and supporting each other while constantly being drawn and realizing that yes, they can have it all.
3. s10 AU; after Oliver reveals his secret, he has to be in hiding, so he ends up spending a lot of time with Clark & Lois; gradually develops feelings and they are mutual
4. established Lois/Oliver (maybe Lois gave Ollie a second chance in 'Siren'?); Oliver notices the Clark and Lois connection and then he realizes Clark may have feelings for him too. Cue planning and
working out they dynamics - maybe a scene where Clark and Ollie kiss when they're undercover or need a distraction? Of course Ollie tells Lois about it immediately and she is curious.
5. "Luthor" world AU: maybe Clark Luthor starts to turn a new leaf at the episode, or both Lois and Ollie keep him close by because they don't trust him. Slowly they all develop feelings.

Clark Kent/Lois Lane: I loved them from their first episode (and of course they're a classic ship overall), but seeing them progress from frenemies to falling in love was delightful. What I love about them is the way they banter and argue but were there for each other from the get go (Clark's first words to Lois after he came back to himself was "you're not alone", which is telling) and she knows him so well even before she knew about his powers. The friendship and the mutual support that is behind the passion and love is what I always cherish about this dynamic. Plus, she makes him smile, something that unfortunately happened less often in the latter seasons.

If Lana is to play a part, I would like her and Clark to have moved on from each other. She and Lois were canonically friends; I don't want to see any love triangles/her being made into a blatant villain to prop up Clois or worse, Clark still pining for her/seeming as if he is settling at all.

Prompts:
1. AU where Lois leaves after "Devoted" and doesn't come back; they meet at the Daily Planet. Feelings and dual identity issues emerge.
2. Lois remembers what happened in "Crimson"; now she has to deal with emerging feelings for Clark while having the new knowledge of his powers (while he doesn't know about it). How would s6 and the rest play out then?
3. after 8.15 "Infamous", where Clark turns back time, Lois somehow still remembers everything. Again, fallout and now she knows he is the Blur
4. Clark goes through the portal the end of "Salvation"; now he and Lois have to deal with the separation, especially with Lois realizing he is gone, and confront her feelings when they eventually reunite
5. Hallmark/Lifetime movie AU; after a tough breakup, reporter Lois needs to get away and finds herself in Smallville for the holidays. Initially weirded out by the small town shenanigans (and kind of over Christmas in general), she slowly warms up to everything and of course, finds love with Clark Kent, who was a star QB until he had a career ending injury and returned home (maybe he works as a reporter at a local newspaper?). Would be fun if instead of the girl staying in the town, the guy leaves to go the big city and try again.

Clark Kent/Oliver Queen: My rarepair that I loved since they first interacted in s6. They have had their ups and downs but they always push one another and the way they got to be more steady in s10 made me happy.

Prompts:
1. Oliver hits Clark in the pilot instead of Lex- I can see Oliver not being as willing to hang out with a high school kid, but grateful in his own way. He might be in and out of Clark's life, but instead of seeking him out, maybe they just keep running into each other. I know I have listed 'underage' as a DNW so I would prefer any romantic relationship be after Clark has turned 18. Definitely do not want Oliver pining over 15 year old Clark, so maybe gradual friendship turns into feelings if you go this route?
2. s7 AU; Clark finds Kara but she's a toddler, like Clark was, and he takes care of her. Gradually Oliver makes his way into both their lives too
3. canon coffee shop AU: Clark works at a coffee shop Oliver frequents while studying at Metropolis University (still has his powers). One night, right before closing, he ends up helping/saving the Green Arrow. Slowly gets to know both of them. Triangle for two, except it is Clark thinking he is into two different people. I would prefer Clark still has his powers/maybe working out his own superhero identity.
4. enemies to lovers: in a world where Lex and Clark never stopped being friends (only friends please), Clark and Oliver dislike each other right off the bat (Clark's a little biased but also they have a bad first meeting). Now they have to work together in the newly formed Justice League, which is bad until it isn't. Denial, pining, saving each other's lives, all the fun stuff!

The Avengers:

James "Bucky" Barnes/Natasha Romanov: I haven't read the comics, but these two seemed to have potential and I'd love to see it explored.

Prompts:
1. Bucky survives the snap instead of Steve; now he and Natasha are figuring things out in the 5 years. Awkward at first but they gradually open up and fall in love, and decide what to do when they have a chance to fix things, minus Natasha's canon death of course.
2. A Red Room story where they have that past in common
3. Natasha survives post Endgame, and she is hanging around during TFATWS. I can see her making fun of Bucky's attempts at blind dating and the two of them gradually falling in love

Steve Rogers/Tony Stark: I've loved these two since the Avengers movie. I'm a sucker for the bickering friends who are on the same side dynamic and they gave it spades. I loved what we got from them in Endgame, minus Tony's death. While I was more on Steve's side during CW, I would rather that not be rehashed or at least one side be blatantly propped up. Also I do like Steve feeling guilty but I don't want him just constantly pleading for Tony's attention/groveling/being pathetic while Tony is on a high horse either. Or feel sorry that he protected Bucky, because I can't see him remorseful over it.

Prompts:
1. Tony time travels pre-Iron Man, and ends up in Steve's era; they hook up, and Tony goes home, heartbroken because he knows/thinks Steve is dead. Events of Iron Man happen. Then Steve is found and he has to figure out what to do next. Whether Steve knows upfront that it was Tony all along, or Tony pretends otherwise is up to you.
2. "You've Got Mail inspired"- online meeting; both are lonely and start talking to an online penpal. Whether they already know each other yet (could be set in canon or a complete no powers AU) is your choice. But falling for both personalities and having that doubt is always a fun added twist.
3. Steve tells Tony about his parents shortly after the events of TWS and how that changes things (maybe Tony wants to help find Bucky but Steve won't let him and it results in him telling Tony the real reason)

Captain America (movies):

Peggy Carter/Steve Rogers: Loved these two since TFA and I was both surprised and delighted that they got their dance/happy ending (in at least one timeline) in Endgame. I love how their love was so enduring and how much he loves her/she wants to protect him even in Agent Carter.

Prompts:
1. Steve is found sooner, maybe even before the events of Agent Carter- so he is there through the show, could be known or a secret
2. post Steve going back, as they work through their lives together
3. instead of dying in CACW, there is a greater power that decides Peggy is needed around and she is made younger and the ensuing fallout (no Sharon bashing please)
4. Peggy is brought to the future at some point
5. artist!Steve + Peggy being his muse

James "Bucky" Barnes/Natasha Romanov: I nominated them in both the CA movies and The Avengers so I'm just copying what I wrote there.

Prompts:

James "Bucky" Barnes/Sam Wilson: Loved the idea of them in TWS but I really began to ship them for what they were in CW. Again, the bickering dynamic is everything.

I do prefer Steve & Bucky as just friends (same with Steve & Sam) and would rather he/his Endgame ending not be bashed.

Prompts:
1. The Lake House AU; it would be interesting to see Sam and Bucky write each other back and forth, both of them having gotten away for various reasons and finally connecting. You can change the careers to fit their characters or I could see Bucky as an architect and Sam as a doctor.
2. pretending to be married; they have to pretend to be a couple/married and go on a couples cruise ship to get information/track some down bad guys
3. anything set pre-canon; Sam is assigned to look for the Winter Soldier. They have run ins and for some reason, Bucky can't kill Sam.

Gilmore Girls:

Fandom specific DNW: please no Rory bashing or talking about how awful she is/became. She would own up to her own mistakes and villainizing her to prop up other characters, even ones that she is shipped with doesn't appeal to me. Same with Jess and her other boyfriends- if you go the Rory/Jess route, I don't want him to exist to put down the other guys, no matter what my personal feelings are on them. Jess and Paris especially really love Rory and while Paris may be judgmental and blunt, neither of them would be the type to shun her or think less of her even after the events in the Revival.

Lorelai Gilmore & Rory Gilmore: I love this mother/daughter dynamic, and there is so much complexity/things left unsaid and I would love to see it explored in fiction. Ship wise: I love Luke/Lorelai and Rory with either Paris or Jess, but if you want to leave it completely gen, that is great too.

Prompts:
1. set pre-canon; we got allusions to what Rory and Lorelai's life was before the show and anything with that would be interesting. Why did Rory want to go to Harvard? What caused her to become such a bookworm? What was the dynamic like the few times they saw the Gilmores during the holidays? That kind of thing.
2. post-GG Revival; Rory is set to become a mom and how that plays into their relationship and what Rory wants to emulate/do differently than her mom
3. Lorelai doesn't marry Christopher but she also doesn't leave her parents place. Rory grows up in Hartford and how that shifts everything
4. Rory chose Harvard, and it would be interesting to see a realistic take on what her journalism degree would look like while not being restricted to show budgets; maybe she does study abroad or ends up in less than safe areas and Lorelai has to worry/learn how to really let her go.

Paris Geller/Rory Gilmore: Their rivals to friends journey was delightful and I think they would have made a great couple. The way they play off each other and their chemistry is so intriguing. They balance each other well and I loved how they were still so supportive of each other in the Revival.

Prompts:
1. anything set during the Chilton years
2. Yale setting: post-Dean breakup, Rory and Paris end up in a friends with benefits relationship. Or if you want, you can set it later, with Paris not getting back with Doyle and Rory not getting back with Logan. Maybe Rory justifies going that route again, because it's Paris and of course she doesn't want to date her. It's two friends helping each other out.
3. post-Revival; Paris helps Rory with the baby and Rory stays with her while finding jobs/post writing her book? Feelings develop. Maybe Paris hooks up with another woman and Rory finds herself getting jealous.
4. childhood friends/rivals to lovers AU; Rory grew up with in Hartford so she and Paris knew each other since children. How they got along to how they move forward is up to you

Lane Kim/Dave Rygalski: I loved them- individually and together and I hated that they had to break up because Adam Brody left.

Prompts:
1. After Lane is kicked out, she finds her way to California and reconnects with Dave.
2. band AU: either Lane or Dave is in a band and they are looking for a new member. Cue the other one trying out
3. canon coffee shop AU: Lane is working at Luke's and Dave is a frequent customer. One day, his bands needs a replacement drummer for a small show and Lane offers.

Rory Gilmore/Jess Mariano: I just loved them on the show, the way they connected over a shared love of books and were drawn to one another, and it helped how Jess grew up in the later seasons. Even in the Revival, they were still believing in each other and were able to fall into a comfortable dynamic after not having seen each other in years.

Prompts:
1. Rory and Jess don't break up at the end of s3; maybe he tells her he is leaving instead of her finding it out from Lorelai. Or maybe even Jimmy doesn't show up/Jess doesn't flunk out of school/anything that diverts from what happened. I would still like to see him leave and find himself because I can't see him thriving in Stars Hollow. Temporary break-ups/going on a break is totally fine, as long as the ending is happy.
2. Rory and Dean are broken up at the beginning of s3 so Rory and Jess have a slightly more auspicious start
3. Rory wrote to Jess while she was in Washington; how that plays out and changes things is up to you
4. AU where Jess works at a library and Rory keeps showing up and that is how they meet
5. after Mitchum's criticism, Rory doesn't steal a yacht but instead just drives and ends up in Philly; that is how she reunites with Jess

Luke Danes/Lorelai Gilmore: They were so great. The slowburn, the pining, the friends to lovers- they had it all.

Prompts:
1. meeting earlier than canon; anything where Luke meets Lorelai while Rory is still a baby/toddler. Cue attraction but reluctance from Luke who doesn't know how to handle kids and Lorelai, who doesn't have time to date/wants to be solely focused on Rory.
2. end of s6/s7 AU; Lorelai doesn't sleep with Christopher but because of their issues, they take a break anyway and there is still pining/working things out/getting back together
3. Luke tells Lorelai about April right away and they tackle that situation together, as well as getting married as scheduled
4. post-s7, where they work out their relationship and get married sooner than the Revival. Maybe they do decide to have kids here.
5. AU where they met as teenagers, had a summer romance, and went their separate ways and met again when Lorelai shows up in Stars Hollow

Ted Lasso:

Keeley Jones/Roy Kent/Jamie Tartt: I really liked the idea of this trio. Keeley and Roy are precious, Roy and Jamie's back and forth is funny (and better by the few reluctant moments they had) and I really like how Jamie and Keeley's friendship turned out post breakup.

Prompts:
1. Jamie somehow bonds with Phoebe (he seems like he would be good with kids) and gets closer to Roy and Keeley through that
2. anything where Keeley gets taken care of, since she is the caretaker so often
3. Jamie pines for Roy and Keeley, while thinking that they're better off together. Eventually they prove him wrong
4. soulmate AU, where everyone involved is in denial

Keeley Jones/Roy Kent: I love this relationship. They're just so good together and it is heartwarming to see

Prompts:
1. proposal/engagement/wedding fic- can you imagine Keeley and Roy planning their wedding? Would be so funny if the team wanted to be involved. Rebecca would have all the great taste and Ted would just try to be involved. Plus Phoebe as the flower girl ... adorable.
2. friends with benefits; they just end up having sex (I know it changes the premise of their original relationship where Roy wants it to be different) and they go from there. Maybe they hook up earlier so their mind set is different
3. Keeley wins Roy at the auction and it goes from there

Ted Lasso/Rebecca Welton: I love how these two have their own baggage and they have found this connection, with Rebecca fighting Ted's charm and being won over anyway. Ted is so Ted but he has his own struggles and it was beautiful to see them let each other in and I am looking forward to seeing what s2 and s3 gives us.

Prompts:
1. they meet on Bantr, the dating app Keeley is promoting. Since it doesn't have pics and maybe they're going by different names, they don't realize that they are talking to each other and slowly develop feelings
2. AU where Rebecca ends up in America rather than Ted ending up in London.
3. fake dating/fake relationship- they have to pretend to be together for whatever reason and it spirals from there

Star Trek(AOS):

Kirk/Spock: I really love ships that bicker but are on the same side and these two definitely fall in that category. Love Uhura so please do not make her look bad and I do prefer Kirk & Bones as friends so please keep that relationship platonic (though it is okay if Spock is briefly jealous/thinks it is more).

Prompts:
1. Winona and Amanda were friends so they met as children. They could keep in touch or they could grow apart and then only meet again at the Academy
2. George Kirk somehow survives and how that changes Jim and his life and the way he will eventually meet Spock
3. Vulcan isn't destroyed/Amanda doesn't die; Kirk ends up bonding with Amanda and gets closer to Spock because of it
4. Either Spock or Kirk accidentally time travels and they save Amanda/Vulcan. Come back to find themselves bonded with the other one.

Wonder Woman (movies):

Diana/Steve: I just fell in love with them; they're just so tragic and in love and I want them to have a happy ending. I prefer canon DCEU ships if the League is around, especially Clois. I also love the idea of Lois & Diana being friends.

Prompts:
1. Steve comes back in WW84 without possessing someone else's body; maybe he's a ghost or an illusion.
2. modern day reincarnation AU; Diana meets Steve and she's jaded by now and he doesn't remember his past life. They have to go on an undercover mission where they pretend to be a couple- cue lots of pining and misunderstandings
3. any romcom or fairytale AU; I love AUs with different meetings

Harry Potter:

Ron/Hermione: They fall into my bickering friends to lovers ship category. Ron is smarter than he gets credit for (he is a legit chess master!) and I adore the way they balance each other out. They have bumps in their journey but their happy ending is totally worth it. If Harry is around, I just like him as a friend to both (love the Golden trio dynamic, especially Ron & Harry) and prefer him to be with Ginny. I used to like Harry/Draco so if you prefer to go in that direction, without making Draco a big woobie and jeopardizing the trio's dynamics or bashing Ginny, that's cool too. I also like Ginny/Luna. :D

Prompts:
1. Different Houses AU: it's fine if one of them is still in Gryffindor but also good if they're both in different houses. Like Ron being the first Weasley go somewhere else would weigh heavily on him and something for him to grapple with and it would be interesting to see how they find their way to each other.
2. anything detailing their lives after the final chapter and the epilogue. It would be fun to see the two of them figuring out their lives post Hogwarts and their careers after the war is over. They both have their own traumas and seeing how everything comes together is great. Maybe they actually get to go on dates, or maybe they help each other out with nightmares. I love domesticity and care taking. Hermione going on a broom and flying with Ron would be adorable too.
3. fake dating/fake relationship: they have to either pretend to be dating/engaged or in a relationship for whatever reason (maybe there are some laws they are trying to circumvent?); I love that trope and would love to see it play out.

James/Lily: I do love them and their story is so tragic, to get betrayed by a close friend and die at 21. Their implied journey of how James grew up and Lily fell in love with him is great. I don't really care for Snape or Snape/Lily (or really either of them with anyone else). If you can realistically redeem Snape and keep him as only friends with Lily, I don't mind his presence.

Prompts:
1. 6th/7th year fics; I like fics set in Hogwarts where they get together. I like them becoming friends and then Lily subtly flirting but she is *too* subtle and he doesn't get it because he is just grateful to have her friendship and she thinks he is over her ... misunderstandings and pining are the best.
2. AU where they don't die; whether Voldemort gets stopped by Dumbledore or the threat is still looming is up to you. They have to raise Harry in hiding, which is complicated as he grows up because he is a kid and will want friends/be lonely. Though he could meet Ron earlier through the Order. The Wizarding World would also be different had Voldemort not been stopped as soon
3. no Voldemort AU; may be too light but would be interesting to read about how their world would be different without the threat approaching them

Remus/Sirius: Another great dynamic and they're literally described as an old married couple. Fitting. So much background and angst and potential. I prefer James with Lily (please don't break them up if you keep them alive) and only friends with Sirius and Remus.

Prompts:
1. Sirius is cleared immediately or sooner so they can raise Harry together; I know it's a time old trope but I never get tired of it.
2. they actually capture Pettigrew so again, Sirius is cleared. If they were together in Hogwarts and broke up, they do have to work out some trust issues or if they were pining/not knowing of feelings back then, they could start developing them as they get closer. Also would Dumbledore give Harry over to Sirius, with the blood protections? I don't want to see a lot of Dumbledore bashing/he is a blatant villain but I also want Harry to get a chance to have a family.
3. Hogwarts setting: before the Whomping Willow incident, during, or after is all welcome.
4. any sort of fairytale AU; I think they play well, with Sirius's wicked family and Remus's werewolf secret
5. AU where Remus never attended Hogwarts or evens up in a different house; how that changes things, etc

Elementary:

Joan/Jamie: My favorite enemies to lovers ship. They just have such intriguing chemistry and Jamie thinking she can solve Joan but Joan just outsmarting her is everything.

Prompts:
1. they need to work together for some reason, against a common enemy and there are reluctant feelings
2. Jamie comes to Joan with help regarding her daughter and it unfolds from there
3. hate sex turns into feelings
4. artist!Jamie + Joan being her muse

Joan/Sherlock: I love them as friends and a ship. The way they progressed and grew and how much they love each other is so special.

Prompts:
1. soulmate AU; I can see Sherlock not believing (at first) and Joan having mixed feelings. Maybe they decide to keep it platonic and then the feelings happen
2. friends with benefits; Joan is frustrated with her dating life and Sherlock offers her a release. Casual sex turns into real feelings
3. Joan is the one who has to fake her death when Moriarty comes after them; there is pining, grief, and a realization of feelings, and then Joan gets to return

Joan & Sherlock: I genuinely love their friendship. It's so good to see such a strong bond and how they're not afraid to acknowledge what they have.

Prompts:
1. case fic: you can adapt any of the familiar Sherlock Holmes stories or a completely new mystery works. The two of them bonding and working together is what I love
2. Sherlock is kidnapped and Joan has to save the day
3. AU where Joan remains a surgeon and Sherlock keeps showing up with all sorts of odd injuries; she somehow gets dragged into his cases

DCEU:

Clark/Lois: I love Clois in basically every version so it wasn't surprising I love them here too. I would love to have seen more of them, especially as a couple, and I love how supportive/mature they are. I didn't see BvS but I know what happened.

Prompts:
1. anything set between Man of Steel and BvS: how they become a couple while Clark deals with both his identities, whether it is the hero worship or the backlash. And I'm always here for reporter!Lois. Would be fun to read about them working on stories, going undercover- I will take anything
2. post ZSJL; getting ready for a wedding and expecting a baby! I love that for them and how they again would balance it all. The rest of the League is of course welcome
3. role reversal: Earth is destroyed instead of Krypton and Lois is the last human who ends up there. What family she gets adopted into, the life she leads and how she meets Kal-El.

Lois/Diana: I like the idea of these two a lot, and wish we could've seen them interact, because Amy Adams & Gal Gadot had good off screen chemistry and I think it would've translated. I love Clois so I don't want Clark to be a villain or someone they're both pining for (esp Diana because I'm not a fan of that ship). He can be a friend to both and I'm fine with Clark/Bruce if it is in the background and he didn't leave Lois for Bruce. It can also be set after BvS where he is dead.

Prompts:
1. anything set between BvS and the Justice League movie (I prefer they Snyder cut); I can see Diana being drawn to Lois because she knows what it is like to lose someone, and it going from there. Lois getting an interview with Wonder Woman and Wonder Woman saving her life at some point would be great.
2. set pre-MoS; Lois ends up on Themyscira, while Diana is there (maybe for a visit) and they're drawn to each other
3. Lois ends up injured and Diana takes her to Themyscira to heal

Barry/Iris: I really like these two in the Snyder cut and I can't wait to see what happens in the Flash movie. They already seem very cute and I love Barry.

Prompts:
1. set post ZSJL; reporter!Iris + hero!Barry; they keep running into each other in and out of costume. Iris could need lab tech!Barry's help for a story and the Flash saves Iris's life. That kind of thing. I'm always a sucker for meet cutes and getting together/first times
2. reporter!Iris or maybe an Iris who is working for the Innocence Project who is working to free Barry's father because she believes he didn't kill his wife and that is how they really meet (could also be set post JL)
3. Iris claims she has a boyfriend to get out of being set up and she gets the cute guy she keeps running into to pretend he is it

Thanks again!
