Smallville:
Fandom DNW: Arrowverse characters/fanon ships, "Crisis on Infinite Earths" (good with Clark and Lois having daughters in a Clois fic, just not Clark having permanently given up on his abilities), Lana being to be a villain
Other Ships I Like (if you want background ships): Lana/Lex (in an AU where he stays good), Lana/Jason (again, only where he doesn't go evil), Lana/Kara, Lois/Kara, Tess/Kara, Tess/Emil, Oliver/Dinah, Chloe/Oliver, Martha/Jonathan, AC/Mera, AC/Victor, Bart/Chloe, Bart/Mia, Chloe/Jimmy, Kara/Jimmy, Chloe/George Dean (guy she was engaged to in Apocalypse AU episode)
Gen/Friendships: Clark & Lana, Clark & Lex, Lois & Lana, Clark & Kara, Clark & Lois & Jimmy, Clark & Jimmy, Lois & Chloe, Oliver & Tess, Clark & Tess
Clark/Lois: These two are an OTP for me. I've loved so many version of them in the past, since I was a kid, and this particular one sold me on their first meeting in "Crusade". They have the bickering friends/frenemies to lovers dynamic that is dear to my heart and I loved how even when they claimed they disliked one another, they were there for each other, such as when Lois was able to get through to Clark and stop him from killing Alicia's murderer and how Clark could comfort Lois over Lucy (and even with some of the guys she dated). There was definitely some flirting and feelings over the years too even when they wouldn't admit it and when they finally got together, it was amazing and for sure worth the wait. They're there for each other and really are what the other person needs. I appreciate how they can be open with each other and how Lois is so close to Clark's family (and they love her!). I like anything set during canon or divergences or post canon (or in that seven year gap) or complete AUs. While I don't ship Clana, if you do include her, I would prefer her to be a friend to both and not a villain or hurdle of some sort.
Prompts:
1. Hallmark/Lifetime movie AU; after a tough breakup, reporter Lois needs to get away and finds herself in Smallville for the holidays. Initially weirded out by the small town shenanigans (and kind of over Christmas in general), she slowly warms up to everything and of course, finds love with Clark Kent, who was a star QB until he had a career ending injury and returned home (maybe he works as a reporter at a local newspaper and helps at the farm after his dad had a heart attack- preferably survives). Would be fun if instead of the girl staying in the town, the guy leaves to go the big city and try again.
2. AU where Lois leaves after "Devoted" and doesn't come back; they meet at the Daily Planet. Feelings and dual identity issues emerge.
3. Clark goes through the portal the end of "Salvation"; now he and Lois have to deal with the separation, especially with Lois realizing he is gone, and confront her feelings when they eventually reunite
Clark/Lois/Oliver: My OT3. While I love the individual ships in it, I also love the dynamic they have as a trio. We didn't get to see as many scenes with just them as I would've liked but the ones were got were really great. They really balance one another out. Each of them has something in common with one of the others (Clark with Ollie, Clark with Lois, Lois with Ollie) but they're different enough to really make it interesting. I'm good with the three of them getting together at the same time or two of them already being together and including the third.
Prompts:
1. soulmate AU- they each have two sets of symbols but it takes time to put it all together. I just think it'd be funny if Lois and Oliver are trying to analyze the House of El mark when neither of them know what it means.
2. Sleeping Beauty inspired, where Clark gets by a spell and they need to find his true love, not realizing he has two in the form of Lois & Oliver.
3. established Lois/Oliver (maybe Lois gave Ollie a second chance in 'Siren'?); Oliver notices the Clark and Lois connection and then he realizes Clark may have feelings for him too. Cue planning and
working out they dynamics - maybe a scene where Clark and Ollie kiss when they're undercover or need a distraction? Of course Ollie tells Lois about it immediately and she is curious.
4. "Luthor" world AU: maybe Clark Luthor starts to turn a new leaf at the episode, or both Lois and Ollie keep him close by because they don't trust him. Slowly they all develop feelings.
Clark/Oliver: Another OTP. I didn't expect to fall for them as hard as I did in s6 but I just loved their dynamic. The push and pull and the way they had this ultimate respect for one another was great but then it grew in s8-10. It was tough watching them fight but I did like how they always came back together, and even when they didn't agree, they cared about each other with Clark always believing Oliver was better and Oliver reminding Clark that the Kandorians weren't the only family that he had. One of my favorite moments was when Clark said that he hadn't quit on Oliver Queen in "Echo". One thing I do ask if that if you choose to set it in the later seasons that Lois doesn't get hurt. I am fine with handwaving the Clois romance rather than her having unrequited feelings or them breaking up because I adore her/don't want to see her hurt and I love Clois.
Prompts:
1. Oliver hits Clark in the pilot instead of Lex- I can see Oliver not being as willing to hang out with a high school kid, but grateful in his own way. He might be in and out of Clark's life, but instead of seeking him out, maybe they just keep running into each other. I know I have listed 'underage' as a DNW so I would prefer any romantic relationship be after Clark has turned 18. Definitely do not want Oliver pining over 15 year old Clark, so maybe gradual friendship turns into feelings if you go this route?
2. s7 AU; Clark finds Kara but she's a toddler, like Clark was, and he takes care of her. Gradually Oliver makes his way into both their lives too
3. enemies to lovers: in a world where Lex and Clark never stopped being friends (only friends please), Clark and Oliver dislike each other right off the bat (Clark's a little biased but also they have a bad first meeting). Now they have to work together in the newly formed Justice League, which is bad until it isn't. Denial, pining, saving each other's lives, all the fun stuff!
4. Clark meets Oliver on his redk summer and goes on the boat and they both end up stranded on the island
Lana/Tess: They're one of my rare pairs. They only had a few scenes in s8 but that was enough to sell me on their potential. They just had such an interesting dynamic- both of them were tied up with Lex at some point, in different ways, and had to find out the hard way that they'd been deceived. They both want to do good for the world and while Tess stumbled at some point, she did find her way back. Definitely feel like they would make a power couple.
Prompts:
1. soulmate AU; I can see with all the LL people, it could get confusing if they have each other's initials, especially if Lana doesn't know Tess's birth name is Lutessa
2. they meet up and hook up after Lois & Clark's reception (please don't have either of them pining over Clark/Lois, especially Clark) and it turns into a friends with benefits relationship
3. Lana gets to keep her powers but loses the kryptonite absorption factor, joins the Justice League and she and Tess get closer. Maybe they have to go undercover as a couple at some point
Lois/Lana: They had their own little meet cute at the graveyard. I liked how they were friends immediately and how Lois took to Lana immediately. They clearly get along very well and they had some good chemistry to which I can see them being a couple. Lois respects Lana and Lana called Lois a good listener. I haven't read the s11 comics but it seems they had some good scenes there and Lana even gave Lois (and Clark) her blessing. On that note, please don't make Clark the villain or have them hook up because one or both are pining over him.
Prompts:
1. Lana meets Lois in Paris instead of Jason in Paris, and they grow closer but think they have to part where they each have to leave (maybe Lois hears news of Chloe?) and then they run into each other again
2. roommate AU; Lois stays at Metropolis University and when she is looking for a roommate, Lana answers
3. Lana keeps her powers but without the kryptonite absorption and she ends up saving Lois's life. Whether Lois knows is up to you. Triangle for two, with Lana instead of Clark
Lois/Oliver: I ended up really liking them in s6. Oliver falling for Lois at first sight and then Lois able to call him hot to his face but then just be unimpressed was awesome. Both their breakups were very emotional and I did enjoy their friendship in the later seasons. They're very alike in many ways, in terms of their sarcastic sense of humor, and it is no surprise that they got along. In another world, I could see them making it work.
Prompts:
1. Lois realizes she is pregnant after Oliver leaves in "Justice"
2. Lois gives Oliver a second chance in "Siren" and they deal with long distance relationship
3. "Luthor" AU; how did Lois and Oliver meet in that world, how they got together, etc
Lois/Tess: I fell for these two immediately after their first scene in "Odyssey". I have to admit I had my doubts on Tess because she seemed like too much of a Lex replacement but I was won over right away and I shipped these two a lot. They had such chemistry right off the bat and it never faded. I loved them when they were at each other's throats and also loved how they became friends/trusted each other in s10. They're both strong willed, determined and they want to do what it is right- Lois is a little more brash while Tess is more calculated but at the end of the day, they ended up on the same side. I like fic set during any of those time periods, preferably AUs where Clois never got together if it is in the later seasons.
1. they start having hate sex in s8 and it just delves from there
2. The Proposal movie AU- Tess needs to get married to stay in the country and Lois gets roped in (maybe she's not a Luthor here?)
3. Lois and Tess meet before Tess ends upon the island, or an AU where Tess never ended up on the island, never leading her down the Luthor path and they met another way
DCEU:
Gen/Friendships: any combo of the Justice League
Arthur/Mera: I really liked the Aquaman movie and I thought they were great together. I liked the sporadic interactions we saw from them before that movie, and how their relationship grew from two people who had to work together and how they slowly fell in love.
Prompts:
1. AU where Atlanna was allowed to stay with her family but in exchange, Arthur is expected to wed Mera. They both hate it ... at first
2. Mera is defiant and is engaged to Arthur as punishment
3. post- Aquaman movie; how they deal with Arthur now officially being King while managing his responsibilities on land and all the shenanigans that come with pressure for the two of them to get married
Atlanna/Hippolyta: I saw this ship in the tags and I was really intrigued. I remember watching the movie and wondering what would have happened had Atlanna ended up in Themyscira instead. I think she and Hippolyta would make a formidable duo for sure.
Prompts:
1. Atlanna ends up in Themyscira and they take care of her. She grows closer to Hippolyta and have to both overcome their own issues but make it work
2. Arranged Marriage AU: in an attempt to become allies, Hippolyta and Atlanna end up engaged. Or it would be interesting if two of their people became engaged or fell in love and they just end up doing so on the side
Barry/Iris: They were very sweet together in the few scenes that they shared in the ZS Justice League movie. I love Barry in general- his enthusiasm and sense of humor even though he's clearly been through serious life events with his father in jail is just great- and am looking forward to the Flash movie to see more about Iris and them in general.
Prompts:
1. case fic; set post JL movie where Barry is a lab tech and Iris is a reporter who comes in to need his help.
2. Iris is working on a story about Barry's father (and believing he is innocent) and that is how she meets Barry again; could even have a triangle for two element where the Flash plays a role as well
3. fake dating AU; Iris claims she has a boyfriend to get out of being set up and she gets the cute guy she keeps running into to pretend he is it
Clark/Lois: They're great together. I love how mature and loving their relationship is. Lois figuring out Clark and his identity and Clark appreciating Lois for believing in him even in MoS was lovely. I didn't see BvS but the scene where Clark tells Lois that she is his world gets to me. I'm so glad that they seem to be not only engaged but have a baby on the way in ZSJL.
Prompts:
1. post ZSJL; preparing for a wedding and a kid! Could definitely be some hijinks there, especially since Lois is definitely going to continue working for a while and will be doing some deep dives on stories
2. anything set in between MoS and BvS; how their relationship comes together. Do they keep it a secret at work? Maybe they have to go undercover for a story even
3. role reversal: Earth is destroyed instead of Krypton and Lois is the last human who ends up there. What family she gets adopted into, the life she leads and how she meets Kal-El.
Diana/Steve: I definitely fell for these two hard in the WW movie. I loved how they met, with Diana saving Steve, and how she took a risk to leave with him. The way he isn't intimidated by her and how they work together so well really sold me on the ship. I was happy to see Steve back in WW84 but I didn't like how he possessed someone else's body to return. AUs of the movie are more than welcome.
Prompts:
1. WW84 AU where Steve returns but not possessed. Could be interesting if he was a ghost that only Diana could see but somehow they get their happy ending anyway
2. Steve is reincarnated and shows up in the present day but doesn't have any memories. He works with Diana and they even have to go undercover as a couple while she grapples with her mixed feelings and he is attracted to her and getting a serious case of deja vu
Elementary:
Jamie/Joan: My favorite enemies to lovers ship. They just have such intriguing chemistry and Jamie thinking she can solve Joan but Joan just outsmarting her makes for such an interesting dynamic.
Prompts:
1. AU with artist!Jamie and Joan as her muse
2. they are both undercover in their respective missions and they have to keep their cover as well as each other's
3. Jamie comes to Joan for help with her daughter
Sherlock & Joan: I love their friendship. Joan is sympathetic and awesome but also no nonsense especially in the way she deals with Sherlock. Watching Sherlock grow through the course of the show was also great, and I love how they can admit how much they care about each other.
Prompts:
1. case fic: you can adapt any of the familiar Sherlock Holmes stories or a completely new mystery works. The two of them bonding and working together is what I love
2. Sherlock is kidnapped and Joan has to save the day
3. AU where Joan remains a surgeon and Sherlock keeps showing up with all sorts of odd injuries; she somehow gets dragged into his cases
Sherlock/Joan: While I do love their friendship, I ended up shipping them as well, just like I end up shipping all versions of Holmes and Watson. They are two people who love each other! I can see that as romantic too.
Prompts:
1. soulmate AU; I can see Sherlock not believing (at first) and Joan having mixed feelings. Maybe they decide to keep it platonic and then the feelings happen
2. friends with benefits; Joan is frustrated with her dating life and Sherlock offers her a release. Casual sex turns into real feelings
3. Joan is the one who has to fake her death when Moriarty comes after them; there is pining, grief, and a realization of feelings, and then Joan gets to return and they have to deal with all of that
Gilmore Girls:
Fandom DNW: Rory bashing/shaming- she made mistakes but so did everyone else and I really don't like the idea that Jess (or Paris) would look down on her, the idea Rory doesn't "deserve" Jess especially if it is set during or after the Revival, Jess there to "show up" Rory's exes and other men
Other Relationships I like: Paris/Doyle, Emily/Richard
Gen/Friendships: Luke & Jess, Rory & Lane, Paris & Jess, Paris & Rory
Lane/Dave: I really loved them together. Lane is one of my favorite characters and Dave was so good for/to her. I like how she was so happy and how he was willing to jump through hoops to make it work (reading the entire Bible, working alongside Lane to come up with a plan so they don't get caught, etc). I wish they could've made it work and I think they would've had Adam Brody not left.
Prompts:
1. After Lane is kicked out, she finds her way to California and reconnects with Dave.
2. rival band AU: they meet while they are playing for a festival or run into each other when they're not on tour
3. canon coffee shop AU: Lane is working at Luke's and Dave is a frequent customer. One day, his bands needs a replacement drummer for a small show and Lane offers.
Lorelai & Rory: I love this mother/daughter dynamic, and there is so much complexity/things left unsaid and I would love to see it explored in fiction. Ship wise: I love Luke/Lorelai and Rory with either Paris or Jess, but if you want to leave it completely gen, that is great too.
Prompts:
1. set pre-canon; we got allusions to what Rory and Lorelai's life was before the show and anything with that would be interesting. Why did Rory want to go to Harvard? What caused her to become such a bookworm? What was the dynamic like the few times they saw the Gilmores during the holidays? That kind of thing.
2. post-GG Revival; Rory is set to become a mom and how that plays into their relationship and what Rory wants to emulate/do differently than her mom
3. Lorelai doesn't marry Christopher but she also doesn't leave her parents place. Rory grows up in Hartford and how that shifts everything
4. Rory chose Harvard, and it would be interesting to see a realistic take on what her journalism degree would look like while not being restricted to show budgets; maybe she does study abroad or ends up in less than safe areas and Lorelai has to worry/learn how to really let her go.
Luke/Lorelai: Such a wonderful friends to lover ships. I like how in denial they both were, even when they had moments during the course of the seasons (Lorelai was jealous of Rachel, Luke was jealous of Max) but they were still there for each other, through their ups and downs. I was sad that they had so many communication issues but their wedding was one of the highlights of the Revival for me.
Prompts:
1. meeting earlier than canon; anything where Luke meets Lorelai while Rory is still a baby/toddler. Cue attraction but reluctance from Luke who doesn't know how to handle kids and Lorelai, who doesn't have time to date/wants to be solely focused on Rory.
2. end of s6/s7 AU; Lorelai doesn't sleep with Christopher but because of their issues, they take a break anyway and there is still pining/working things out/getting back together
3. Luke tells Lorelai about April right away and they tackle that situation together, as well as getting married as scheduled
4. post-s7, where they work out their relationship and get married sooner than the Revival. Maybe they do decide to have kids here.
5. AU where they met as teenagers, had a summer romance, and went their separate ways and met again when Lorelai shows up in Stars Hollow
Paris/Rory: Their rivals to friends journey was delightful and I think they would have made a great couple. In the Chilton years, I like how Rory stood up to Paris but was there to lend a shoulder when Pairs needed someone and Paris became a good friend to Rory too, especially in the Revival. I was happy to see them still so close.
Prompts:
1. fake dating; one of them says they are in a relationship with the other for whatever reason and they have to go along with it.
2. Yale setting: post-Dean breakup, Rory and Paris end up in a friends with benefits relationship. Or if you want, you can set it later, with Paris not getting back with Doyle and Rory not getting back with Logan. Maybe Rory justifies going that route again, because it's Paris and of course she doesn't want to date her. It's two friends helping each other out.
3. post-Revival; Paris helps Rory with the baby and Rory stays with her while finding jobs/post writing her book? Feelings develop. Maybe Paris hooks up with another woman and Rory finds herself getting jealous.
4. childhood friends/rivals to lovers AU; Rory grew up with in Hartford so she and Paris knew each other since children. How they got along to how they move forward is up to you
Rory/Jess: I just loved them on the show, the way they connected over a shared love of books and were drawn to one another, and it helped how Jess grew up in the later seasons. I like how she believed in him so much and how he in turn always thought she could do great things, but without putting her on a pedestal. Even in the Revival, they were still believing in each other and were able to fall into a comfortable dynamic after not having seen each other in years.
Prompts:
1. Rory and Jess don't break up at the end of s3; maybe he tells her he is leaving instead of her finding it out from Lorelai. Or maybe even Jimmy doesn't show up/Jess doesn't flunk out of school/anything that diverts from what happened. I would still like to see him leave and find himself because I can't see him thriving in Stars Hollow. Temporary break-ups/going on a break is totally fine, as long as the ending is happy.
2. Rory and Dean are broken up at the beginning of s3 so Rory and Jess have a slightly more auspicious start
3. Rory wrote to Jess while she was in Washington; how that plays out and changes things is up to you
4. AU where Jess works at a library- maybe he hung out there a lot to avoid his mom and her boyfriends and eventually got a job? Rory keeps showing up and that is how they meet
MCU:
Fandom DNW: bashing Steve/Steve's endgame ending (feel free to ignore it), rehash of the debate over the Accords with obvious bias toward one side (I'm on Team Cap but I don't want to go dwelled on), Wanda as a villain; if set during TFATWS: Bucky only having pretending to flirt with Sarah to make Sam jealous, Zemo having been with either Bucky and/or Sam
Other Ships I like (if you want background ships): Natasha/Clint, Natasha/Sam, Natasha/Clint/Coulson, Natasha/Sharon, Natasha/Maria, Natasha/Peggy, Natasha/Darcy, Nebula/Rhodey, Carol/Rhodey, Tony/Pepper, Clint/Coulson, Clint/Laura, Thor/Jane, Thor/Sif, Peggy/Angie, Bruce/Betty, T'Challa/Nakia, T'Challa/Sam, T'Challa/Bucky, T'Challa/M'Baku, Peter/MJ, Wanda/Vision
Gen/Friendships: Steve & Bucky, Steve & Sam, Steve & Natasha, Tony & Nebula, any combo of the Avengers
Bucky/Natasha: While I haven't read the comics, I think they had potential in the MCU. They both have darkish pasts and have struggled to wipe the red off their respective ledgers. They both have a dry sense of humor and I think they could've really gotten along and been good to/for one another.
Prompts:
1. Bucky survives the snap instead of Steve; now he and Natasha are figuring things out in the 5 years. Awkward at first but they gradually open up and fall in love, and decide what to do when they have a chance to fix things, minus Natasha's canon death of course.
2. A Red Room story where they have that past in common
3. Natasha survives post Endgame, and she is hanging around during TFATWS. I can see her making fun of Bucky's attempts at blind dating and the two of them gradually falling in love
Bucky/Sam: I liked the idea of them during TWS era just because of the chemistry Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan had on their press tour but I really fell for them in CACW. I like how they bickered but were on the same side (frenemies to lovers is my favorite) and I thought the warm look in Endgame would be as good as it gets! I have seen TFATWS so you can set it during that time period but feel free to go with a complete AU even right after TWS. That time period where we don't know what it would be like (Bucky falling for Steve's new friend on site was fun) is still enjoyable to me.
Prompts:
1. The Lake House AU; it would be interesting to see Sam and Bucky write each other back and forth, both of them having gotten away for various reasons and finally connecting. You can change the careers to fit their characters or I could see Bucky as an architect and Sam as a doctor.
2. pretending to be married; they have to pretend to be a couple/married and go on a couples cruise ship to get information/track some down bad guys
3. anything set pre-canon; Sam is assigned to look for the Winter Soldier. They have run ins and for some reason, Bucky can't kill Sam.
Peggy/Steve: I really loved them in TFA- the way Steve was amused at Peggy immediately and Peggy being interested in pre-serum Steve just won me over. Tons of UST. This is the ship I truly didn't think I would see together again, even though I appreciated all the moments of Steve loving Peggy in the present day and Peggy still loving Steve in Agent Carter so for them to get their dance and a happy ending in one timeline made me really happy.
Prompts:
1. Steve is found sooner, maybe even before the events of Agent Carter- so he is there through the show, could be known or a secret
2. post Steve going back, as they work through their lives together
3. instead of dying in CACW, there is a greater power that decides Peggy is needed around and she is made younger and the ensuing fallout (no Sharon bashing please)
4. Peggy is brought to the future at some point
5. artist!Steve + Peggy being his muse
Steve/Tony: I really liked them during the Avengers. Ships that initially fight but are on the same side are definitely a favorite of mine and I liked how they progressed during that movie. Their ups and downs over the course of the rest were hard but they had some really great moments. I don't blame Steve for not telling Tony about Bucky (it's easy to say Tony wouldn't have killed Bucky while watching afar and be a little more wary when you are in the moment) and I don't blame Tony for being hurt. Both are stubborn and have communication issues for sure but they do have common goals and I'm just a sucker for scenes like Tony giving Steve his shield back in Endgame and Steve being all "I do" when asked if he trusted him. The way they were able to communicate effortlessly despite all that time apart (when communication issues were the problem!) was a delight to see. Plus you know they shared a bed on Clint's farm.
Prompts:
1. Tony accidentally goes back in time pre-Iron Man and hooks up with Steve, kind of like a bucket list item for him and dismisses it when he gets back, even though he is pining. Then it turns out Steve is alive
2. Tony visits Steve in the hospital during TWS and Steve does end up telling Tony about Bucky sooner, maybe as they're figuring out a new alternative to SHIELD
3. Tony notices old!Steve while he is still alive and it changes the timeline (maybe old!Steve seeks out Tony because he misses him and thinks he wouldn't get caught but does)
Star Trek (2009):
Gen/Friendships: Kirk & Bones, any combo of the crew (especially Kirk & Uhura)
Gaila/Uhura: They had a cute friendship from what we saw in XI and I like how they have different personalities but still get along so well. I would have liked to see more of Gaila in general.
Prompts:
1. Gaila gets in trouble when she is accused of helping Kirk cheat and Uhura defends her
2. Gaila is presumed dead after Earth is attacked; Uhura mourns but then they find her and she just lost her memories
3. Academy AU; They kissed once and can't stop thinking about it. Maybe Gaila thinks Uhura is into Spock and Uhura thinks Gaila is into Kirk and it's not true but they're jealous
Kirk/Spock: I liked how they butted heads and then had to work together (frenemies to lovers!!!) and how they grew to rely on each other over the course of the movie. This one in particular had a really nice stepping off point where you could imagine them growing and working together as they put aside their biases to become friends (and more).
Prompts:
1. Kirk is accused of betraying the team or maybe even Spock and Spock defends him- I have seen this trope where no one including Spock believes him and they have to go crawling back (sometimes unsuccessfully); I would like it so that Spock is with him from the get go, even when maybe Kirk himself thinks he won't be
2. soulmate AU; I can see Kirk being skeptical because maybe his parents were soulmates and his mom was never the same after his dad's death. How Spock reacts is up to you
3. meet as kids because Amanda and Winona are friends and then again at Academy or they keep in touch/are pen pals
Ted Lasso:
Fandom DNW: focus on Nate Shelley comeuppance (I don't like what he did and I'm fine if you want to have him earn redemption or the characters referencing but I don't want the focus on them just insulting him), Sam/Rebecca- either together or made out to be "problematic" or that she was using him to replace Ted, Michelle being a villain in any sense
Gen/Friendships: any combos from the team, especially Ted & Jamie, Ted & Coach Beard, Roy & Beard, Rebecca & Keeley, Rebecca & Roy, Rebecca & Higgins
Keeley/Roy: I just love their relationship on the show. How they came together, and how they communicate and make it over their hurdles and how *into* each other they are. Just the best. It's not always easy but they always so supportive of one another.
Prompts:
1. Roy decides to go on the vacation alone but then Keeley ends up surprising him
2. Roy was the player that Keeley slept with when she was 18 and now they meet up again through Jamie.
3. established relationship stories- maybe them planning a wedding with the whole team (especially Ted and Rebecca) wanting to help
Keeley/Roy/Jamie: I like the potential of these three. Roy and Jamie have come so far, Roy and Keeley are adorable and of course Keeley and Jamie's friendship is great too. I don't have many OT3s but they are on the list for sure.
Prompts:
1. Roy gets amnesia and goes back to his younger/more asshole self and Jamie and Keeley find it hot
2. Jamie ends up going on vacation with Roy and realizes he has feelings for him too and Roy also realizes he has feelings for Jamie (he would be so mad about it!). And when Keeley shows up, they all figure things out
3. Jamie ends up bonding with Phoebe (seems like he'd be good with kids) and wins Roy over that way, as well as continuing his friendship with Keeley
Roy/Jamie: They're just an enemies to friends dynamic that is delightful. The way they went from being at each other's throats to Roy being able the one to comfort Jamie in one of his most difficult moments was a wonderful transition. I also love the idea of Jamie having a poster of Roy/admiring him growing up. But please be respectful to Keeley. I'm good with them having an open/poly relationship.
Prompts:
1. pre Richmond. 18-20 year old Jamie having and taking an opportunity to hit on his favorite player, Roy. One night stand and then they meet years later perhaps
2. hate/casual sex turns into real feelings
3. Jamie ends up tagging along with Roy for the holidays because he doesn't have family to go with and Roy's sister/niece end up loving him and well, Roy gets some feelings too
Sam/Jamie: I really ended up falling for this ship. Sam is the sweetest and I like that Jamie had to work harder to get him to forgive his previous actions. The casual way Jamie drapes himself over Sam now and how far they've come really has sold me on the potential. The contrast between their relationship with their fathers is also intriguing.
Prompts:
1. AU where Jamie offers to cover for Sam when he finds out that he is dating Rebecca (while pining). So he offers to let Sam pretend that he is with him if people are suspicious, etc
2. Jamie realizes how great Sam is and falls for him but doesn't think Sam could feel the same way (has to get over some internalized stuff too) because of how he treated him in the past
3. Fake Dating/Everyone thinks they're together-The whole team thinks they're dating and when Jamie's dad gets mad, he doubles down in spite. Sam agrees to go along with it and feelings happen
Ted/Rebecca: I liked the idea of them in s1 but I really fell for them in s2. They've come along so far and I love how Rebecca was the only one who realized Ted was having a panic attack, as well as Ted being the one to sing at Rebecca's father's funeral when she was breaking down. Even if we didn't see as much of them in the second half, it felt like they were in each other's orbits and the hint of a new confession the following season makes me still want to believe that it could be an admission of feelings.
Prompts:
1. AU where they meet at a younger age; maybe Ted goes to Europe after college and runs into Rebecca 2. 4 times they almost kiss and the one time they do
3. Christmas/Lifetime movie themed where after Rebecca's divorce, she decides to get away and lands up in America and runs into Ted
Persuasion:
Anne/Frederick: One of my favorite Jane Austen novels and favorite Austen ships. There was so much pining and I'm a sucker for it. I love fics set before the novel, or after and missing moments in between are welcome too.
Prompts:
1. pre-novel; first meeting and confession of feelings
2. AU where she doesn't break it off. How does that change things
3. modern AU- who would play what role and how would their lives change?
Thanks again! :D
Thank you for signing up for this exchange! I'm excited to see what you come up with and I hope my prompts/information helps in some way. While I have left a few prompts for each ship, you are more than welcome to just go off the general likes, if something in particular inspires you. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me via the mods and I will do the best I can to answer.
