Date: 2021-11-30 12:00 am (UTC)~How I feel about this character: I love him. I thought he was attractive immediately but lack of comics knowledge had me wondering if he was a good guy and made me a little skeptical (I was worried he was going to break Lois's heart and was sad that Clois wasn't going to develop as I hoped that season since Lana was out of the way) but I quickly fell for him. He's snarky and complex and just wants to do his best. Sometimes he stumbles but he gets back up and I appreciate that. He can be so hard on himself but he does tend to believe in the best in others, which was why he formed the League in the first place. Part of the reason I decided not to quit the show after s7 was because he was coming back as a regular in s8.
~ All the people I ship romantically with this character: Clark, Lois, Chloe (I used to anyway), Dinah (more in theory)
~ My non-romantic OTP for this character: Tess- I liked their friendship, especially in s10. Also he and Carter were pretty funny together too. And any of the SV Justice League.
~ My unpopular opinion about this character: I was firmly not on his side during/in Doomsday. And I kind of wish he hadn't let go Chloe stealing from him as quickly as he did.
~ One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: Not to make light of the subject, but I do wish he had gotten some sort of help/therapy. I know that this is a superhero show on the CW so not really aiming for realism and they wanted to hand wave the arc/move on because he wasn't the main lead, but Roulette as a follow up to Oliver's canon suicide attempt was really bad. Also Clark should've hugged him at least. Because reasons.

Date: 2021-11-30 08:42 pm (UTC)~ How I feel about this character: I love Roy. Grumpy characters with a heart of gold can be so fun and he's definitely more than just a stereotype too. He has so many layers and I love how he interacts with the rest of the characters.

~ My non-romantic OTP for this character: Phoebe! Their relationship is so precious. He's fun with both Ted and Beard too.
~ My unpopular opinion about this character: I don't know if I really have one - I'm kind of tired of the Roy doesn't understand Keeley/has to apologize plots. I hope it doesn't continue in s3. Also I don't think he really had to apologize for crowding her? I get he was being clingy and missed some signs, but she was the one who chose not to tell him what was going on and he didn't deserve to really be blown up on like he was.
~ One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: I hope he doesn't get too insecure with Keeley's new job (I know he was supportive) and that there is a proposal in the near future!

I know that once two people get together, their issues won't magically vanish but communication was such a focal point in their beginning that it is frustrating to not see it hashed out.

~ How I feel about this character: I like Lex, for the most part. Rosenbaum was definitely a great casting choice and he's my Lex, accept no substitutes. He had a really compelling character arc and really made you care about him and his story. It was interesting that he wanted to what was right, at least in the beginning, but then it was his own traits- his obsession, his eventual need for power, that was his downfall.
~ All the people I ship romantically with this character: Chloe, Lana
~ My non-romantic OTP for this character: Clark. I used to ship them in the early seasons but I lost interest in s6 and it never came back. And the early stuff doesn't really do it for me anymore either because of how young Clark was in those seasons.
~ My unpopular opinion about this character: I just don't see him as this big woobie that some of his apologists/fans seem to insist he is. Clark didn't make him a villain and he didn't have a right to his secret. Lionel's parenting was bad but Clark was a teenager and Lex was in his early twenties so I'm going to hold him more responsible for his actions. Clark lied, but so did Lex.
~ One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: I wish he had faked his death in s8 and then reemerged as himself in the finale rather than the clone plot. It really changes things for that not to be the Lex Clark knew growing up.
