Yes, I can see that as a major challenge of writing this fandom! So many references. I think you did a great job at including the other idiosyncrasies, like how they categorize their coffee drinking throughout the day :D

Definitely! I have always wanted to write Lane more but my taste in music isn't as wide scale or as obscure. It's definitely hard to keep up. And I appreciate that! I tried to work around what I'm not strong at and I am relieved it came out okay. I did like the coffee line, because it felt like something they would do. :D

Oo yeah, I definitely feel that about Lane and the music. I think if I put some effort into it, I could fake pop culture references, but to emulate being a huge music geek would require a whole new level of knowledge in terms of appreciating different music styles and history.

Exactly. You can figure out the popular references and even with Rory and Jess, get the gist of what type of books they may like to read, but music is probably the toughest one. Trying to look up obscure bands and all the references and deep dives is a whole new level of work.
