Dear creator,
Thank you for signing up for this exchange! I absolutely love pining in fics and I'm excited to see what you come up with. I hope the information I have provided is helpful. While I did leave a few prompts for each ship, you're welcome to work off the freeforms if you have an idea just from them. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me via the mod and I will be happy to answer. :D

Smallville:
Fandom DNW: Arrowverse characters/fanon ships, 'Crisis on Infinite Earths' (good with Clark and Lois having twins/being married but not with him permanently giving up his powers), Chloe playing a big part (I had some issues with her character starting in s8, but I'm not all that comfortable with her playing a starring role after what the actress did)
Other Ships I like (for background): Martha/Jonathan, Lois/Kara, Kara/Jimmy, Kara/Lana, Kara/Chloe, Oliver/Dinah, Oliver/Chloe, Chloe/Victor, Chloe/George Dean (guy she was with in Apocalypse AU), Chloe/Lana, Chloe/Bart, Bart/Mia, AC/Mera, Lex/Lana (as long as he doesn't go evil), Lana/Jason (again, as long as he doesn't go evil), Tess/Emil
Friendships/Gen: any combo of the SV Justice League, Clark & Martha & Jonathan, Clark & Kara, Clark & Lana, Clark & Lois, Clark & Oliver, Clark & Lex, Clark & Tess, Lois & Lana, Lois & Martha
Clark/Lois (Clark pining, Lois pining, both pining): A canon OTP for me. I really loved other version of Clois but this one is my favorite. I fell for them immediately and I absolutely loved their frenemies to lovers journey- their banter was fun, but I also enjoyed the way they got close immediately, in between Clark being there for Lois after her sister left again (and later with even with some of the guys she dated- he definitely came off as jealous of AC) and Lois stopping Clark from murdering Alicia's killer- they were really strong friends and their journey to realizing how they felt was lovely. They definitely flirted (see: dunk tank scene) and suppressed some feelings over the years, but when they were finally on the same page and got together, it was well worth the wait. He really lets her in and fights for her and she makes him laugh and loves all sides of Clark. In the end, they just love each other for all that they are, flaws and all. Lois getting close to Clark's parents even before they were together (and how they love her) is another point that I appreciated. I like anything set during canon or divergences or post canon (or in that seven year gap) or complete AUs. I only ask that you don't make Lana the villain should you go this route. I am not a fan of Clana but I also think she would be supportive and not derail them.
Prompts:
1. Clark loses part of his memory so he only remembers the two of them in their early friendship stage and Lois (for whatever reason doesn't tell him immediately). It'd be fun if Clark was having the sex flashbacks like Lois did in s9
2. Lois remembers what happens in 'Crimson' and has to deal with growing feelings and knowledge of his powers
3. Lois remembers what happened in 'Infamous', despite Clark turning back time
Clark/Lois/Oliver (all pining, Oliver pining): My OT3. While I love the individual ships in it, I also love the dynamic they have as a trio. We didn't get to see as many scenes with just them as I would've liked but the ones were got were really great. They really balance one another out. Each of them has something in common with one of the others (Clark with Ollie, Clark with Lois, Lois with Ollie) but they're different enough to really make it interesting. I'm good with the three of them getting together at the same time or two of them already being together and including the third.
Prompts:
1. post season 10, where Clark and Lois are married but they spent a lot of time with Oliver and they all realize their feelings
2. s9 AU where they all have feelings and need to work around it (Lois being conflicted over Clark and Ollie, Clark and Oliver missing each other while both wanting Lois too, etc)
3. Oliver tries to set up Lois & Clark, thinking they would be better off with each other than him
4. Oliver needs to keep his head down in s10 after he reveals his secret so he hangs out with Lois and Clark
Clark/Oliver (Clark pining, Oliver pining: Another OTP. I didn't expect to fall for them as hard as I did in s6 but I just loved their dynamic. The push and pull and the way they had this ultimate respect for one another was great but then it grew in s8-10. It was tough watching them fight but I did like how they always came back together, and even when they didn't agree, they cared about each other with Clark always believing Oliver was better and Oliver reminding Clark that the Kandorians weren't the only family that he had. One of my favorite moments was when Clark said that he hadn't quit on Oliver Queen in "Echo". One thing I do ask if that if you choose to set it in the later seasons that Lois doesn't get hurt. I am fine with handwaving the Clois romance rather than her having unrequited feelings or them breaking up because I adore her/don't want to see her hurt and I love Clois.
Prompts:
1. One or both gets hurt and the other panics (heroic rescues are fun!)
2. Clark realizes he is bi and wants to date guys but has second thoughts about the sex aspect so Oliver offers to help him practice
3. Clark tries to subtly flirt with Oliver and thinks he knows about his feelings, while Oliver is clueless
4. AU where they only know each other as Green Arrow and Superman and are pining in either as heroes or in their regular identities ore even both.
Lana/Tess (both pining): They didn't interact much, but I was sold by their chemistry in the few scenes that they did have. There is this interesting distrust and they both have a background with Lex/have been betrayed by him that that have shaped them in different ways. I like how they both want to be heroes and Tess's journey took a few stumbles but she got there and I would love to see them grow together and connect. I would also like it is Lana is able to keep her powers without the kryptonite absorption factor.
Prompts:
1. They end up dancing at a friend's wedding and forms a soul bond
2. pretending to be married to go undercover and develop feelings
3. Lana meets Tess in Paris instead of Jason
Lois/Lana (Lois pining): They had their own little meet cute at the graveyard. I liked how they were friends right away and how Lois took to Lana immediately. They clearly get along very well and they had some good chemistry to which I can see them being a couple. Lois respects Lana and has listed her virtues to even Clark and Lana called Lois a good listener. I haven't read the s11 comics but it seems they had some good scenes there and Lana even gave Lois (and Clark) her blessing. On that note, please don't make Clark the villain or have them hook up because one or both are pining over him.
Prompts:
1. Lois stays at Metropolis University and ends up with Lana as a roommate
2. Lana keeps her powers (minus kryptonite absorption) and saves Lois (or vice versa); whether she is aware of the dual identity is up to you
3. Lois doesn't believe in/likes soulmates until she meets Lana
Lois/Tess (Tess pining): I fell for these two immediately after their first scene in "Odyssey". I have to admit I had my doubts on Tess because she seemed like too much of a Lex replacement but I was won over right away and I shipped these two a lot. They had such chemistry right off the bat and it never faded. I loved them when they were at each other's throats and also loved how they became friends/trusted each other in s10. They're both strong willed, determined and they want to do what it is right- Lois is a little more brash while Tess is more calculated but at the end of the day, they ended up on the same side. I like fic set during any of those time periods, preferably AUs where Clois never got together if it is in the later seasons.
Prompts:
1. The Proposal AU (Tess needs to get married to stay in the country)
2. Lois meets Tess before she ends up on the island
3. soulmate AU, where they have each other's initials. I imagine that with all the people with LL, it might get confusing, and Lois would not even know Tess's name is Lutessa so maybe she doesn't even think it could be her
DCEU:
Gen/Friendships: any combo of the Justice League, Lois & Diana, Clark & Martha, Lois & Martha, Clark & Steve, Lois & Steve
Arthur/Mera (Arthur pining, both pining): I really liked the Aquaman movie and I thought they were great together. I liked the sporadic interactions we saw from them before that movie, and how their relationship grew from two people who had to work together and how they slowly fell in love.
Prompts:
1. arranged marriage AU where Atlanna got to stay with her family in exchange for Arthur getting engaged to Mera when they're adults. Neither are happy ... at first.
2. soulmate AU where they realize they're soulmates on first meeting. Maybe it is an Atlantean tradition and one Arthur doesn't even believe in
3. they have to share one bed while they're on the run
Barry/Iris (Barry pining, Iris pining, both pining: They were very sweet together in the few scenes that they shared in the ZS Justice League movie. I love Barry (though what has happened with the actor has put a damper on all of it) in general- his enthusiasm and sense of humor even though he's clearly been through serious life events with his father in jail is just great. I can't wait to see more of Iris too.
Prompts:
1. Barry finally asks Iris on a date
2. reporter!Iris + lab tech!Barry; he helps her with her stories (and saves her life now and then)
3. set up on a blind date
Clark/Lois (Clark pining, Lois pining): They're great together. I love how mature and loving their relationship is. Lois figuring out Clark and his identity and Clark appreciating Lois for believing in him even in MoS was lovely. I didn't see BvS but the scene where Clark tells Lois that she is his world gets to me. I'm so glad that they seem to be not only engaged but have a baby on the way in ZSJL.
Prompts:
1. Krypton still exists and Kal-El is engaged to Lois as a show of peace between their worlds
2. Lois journeys to the Underworld to save Clark after his death in BvS
3. anything set in between MoS and BvS, possibly where they don't get together right away and are unsure where the other one stands
Diana/Steve (Diana pining, Steve pining, both pining): I definitely fell for these two hard in the WW movie. I loved how they met, with Diana saving Steve, and how she took a risk to leave with him. The way he isn't intimidated by her and how they work together so well really sold me on the ship. I was happy to see Steve back in WW84 but I didn't like how he possessed someone else's body to return. AUs of the movie are more than welcome.
Prompts:
1. Diana manages to wish Steve back in the present day, but she is waiting for the other shoe to drop with her past experiences
2. Steve is reincarnated but he just doesn't have any of his past memories
3. WW84 AU where Steve returns but isn't possessing someone else's body; he can be a ghost though and she can still lose him in that setting but I would prefer a happy ending
Elementary:
Friendships/Gen: Joan & Sherlock, Sherlock & Marcus, Joan & Marcus, Joan & Ms. Hudson, Sherlock & Alfredo
Jamie/Joan (Joan pining, Jamie pining, both pining): They're my favorite enemies ship. I find their dynamic so intriguing and full of chemistry. Jamie being fascinated by Joan and thinking she will get an upper hand and move on eventually but just *doesn't* and Joan actually outsmarting her is so much fun to watch.
Prompts:
1. The two of them taking on a common enemy (maybe to save Sherlock?)
2. Joan reluctantly helps Jamie with something related to her daughter (and feelings happen)
3. they're both undercover in the same place and they need to protect themselves and somehow now each other
Sherlock/Joan (Sherlock pining, Joan pining, both pining): I loved this show and their dynamic throughout. How their journey went and how they became partners as well as Sherlock's growth really made this show enjoyable. Joan is able to call Sherlock out and he really adores/respects her as well. it felt like a balanced playing field, which spoke to me. As much as I loved their canon friendship, I shipped it as well.
Prompts:
1. different meeting AU; Joan continues to be a surgeon but keeps running into Sherlock, who always has a few odd injuries (and gets dragged into his cases)
2. Joan has to fake her death for whatever reason- the pining while they're apart and then the reunion
3. everyone thinks they're together- they're pining"
Gilmore Girls:
Fandom DNW: Rory bashing/shaming (while she has made impulsive canon mistakes, she has always been shown to be remorseful and work on fixing them, and I can't see the people in her life- namely Jess and Paris, looking down on her for them, even during/post Revival), Jess "showing up" the other guys/Rory's exes, Emily and Richard getting treated as if they didn't do anything wrong
Other Ships I like: Richard/Emily, Sookie/Jackson, Paris/Doyle, Paris/Jamie. I'm fine with Lane/Zach if you want to set in the later seasons as long as they're not a focus
Friendships/Gen: Rory & Richard, Rory & Lane, Rory & Lorelai, Rory & Luke,, Rory & Paris, Paris & Jess, Jess & Lane, Jess & Dave, Jess & Luke, Jess & April, Jess & Doula, Jess & Lily, Lorelai & Sookie, Lorelai & Emily
Lane/Dave (Lane pining, both pining): I really loved these two together. Lane is one of my favorite characters- she's funny, daring and loyal- and Dave was such a good guy. The way he was willing to deal with the secrecy even when it was complicated for them to see each other and read the whole Bible just to figure out what Mrs Kim meant was so great. I know they didn't work out because Adam Brody left to go on the OC but I wish it had. They seemed to really make each other happy.
Prompts:
1. Lane ends up in California somehow after her mom kicks her out; finds Dave
2. AU were they're in different bands and meet at a festival
3. they break up but stay in touch and pine while thinking the other is over them
Luke/Lorelai (Luke pining, Lorelai pining, both pining): One of my favorite friends to lovers ships. I really liked how they bantered and were there for each other, even in s7 when they were broken up. Plus there were tons of 'almost' moments and signs of feelings before they were able to admit it. And denial was another fun aspect of this ship too! Another slow burn ship that was worth the wait, because their first kiss was one of my favorite moments. I hated how they had so many communication issues later on, but I was happy they ended up together. I like AUs, fics set during any point of the show, the Revival or anything in between.
Prompts:
1. Lorelai doesn't sleep with Christopher but she and Luke take a break anyway
2. Luke meets Lorelai when Rory is still a baby/toddler and is attracted to her, but is still wary of children and Lorelai is skeptical of relationships because she wants to prioritize raising Rory
3. Luke knew about April from the start so they are both single parents when they meet
Paris/Rory (Paris pining, Rory pining): My favorite rivals to friends (to lovers) ship! Paris is a great character and I love her dynamics with Rory. Rory was so patient with her in the early seasons- she was able to stand up to Paris when necessary but also was open to listening her to and being there for her when she needed a shoulder. That Chilton dynamic was fun but I also loved how it resulted in them being such good friends and their dynamic even in the Revival was so solid, which was great.
Prompts:
1. Paris helps Rory with her pregnancy post Revival (maybe giving advice in a very Paris way, etc) and they fall for each other
2. fics set post-s7, where they're on different paths but keep in touch and begin to pine
3. Rory never gets back with Logan and Paris never goes back to Doyle- she and Paris start a friends with benefits relationship leading to feelings
Rory/Jess (Rory pining, Jess pining, both pining): These two are one of my favorite ships. Some people like to read but for Rory and Jess, it is more than that, which is why their shared passion is so important. They found a connection with someone else who understood them. Sure, Jess was surly and closed off, but he was a teenager who had been neglected by his mom and didn't really have a reason to trust anyone. I like that Rory fell despite herself but she also was able to call him out, at when they were friends. And Jess had moments of softness toward her too. When they were good, they were great, and I wish we could've seen more of them actually dating rather than it being alluded to. And I love that Jess grew up, partially inspired by Rory but not just because of her (love his relationship with Luke). Grown up Jess in s6 was a treat and I do like to pretend they found their way back to one another. I like anything set pre canon, during canon, canon divergences, AU after the s7 finale, complete AUs or compliant with the Revival. Not picky in that department. What I don't like though is that people acting like Rory doesn't deserve Jess or she has fallen too far off in the Revival. Sure she made mistakes but just like Rory accepted Jess, I don't think he would judge her for it and it's clear in canon he still believes in her. Another thing I love about them.
Prompts:
1. they break up at the end of s3, but do a better job of keeping in touch, as Jess figures out his life
2. post-Revival; they're both pining while Rory is pregnant and working on her book while thinking the other isn't interested
3. AU where Jess spent a lot of time in the library when trying to stay busy and ends up working there. Maybe he ends up at a library in Boston and Rory ends up at Harvard
Harry Potter:
Fandom DNW: evil Dumbledore (more in the grey is fine), focus on Snape, over powerful/"dumb jock" Harry (if he's around), always evil/dumb/ridiculed Peter
Other Ships I like (for background: Remus/Sirius, Bill/Fleur, Molly/Arthur, Harry/Ginny, Ginny/Luna, Harry/Draco (as long as Draco isn't made to be some sort of woobie that the rest of them have to coddle or make amends to)
Friendships/Gen: Harry & Ron & Hermione, James & Sirius & Peter & Remus (and variations within)
James/Lily (James pining, Lily pining, both pining): I just love them and how he grew and they fell for one another. Happier canon endings are always great but fics set before their death are also awesome and more than welcome, as are complete AUs. Please no ships with them with other people (especially Snape, though if you find a way to redeem him, as long as his role is minimized, and he is only friends with Lily, that's fine).
Prompts:
1. 7th year fics, where they get together- a shared class project leads to feelings
2. an early battle against Voldemort/death eaters where they are in school- James throws himself in front of Lily and danger
3. any sort of spell (love, truth, etc) making one of them think the other is not serious
4. Lily is flirting with James and he just doesn't get it, because she is too subtle and he is so happy that she wants to be his friend that he can't imagine she likes him back now (and she thinks he has gotten over her)
Ron/Hermione (Ron pining, Hermione pining, both pining): This was the canon ship I was most invested in. Again, bickering friends to lovers are just my fave dynamic and I love how they did balance each other out. He is smarter than he is given credit for, and she learned the value of friendship/taking a chance. Their first kiss was delightful in both the book and the movie, though I do lean hard toward the books since I feel the movies did them and Ron dirty.
Prompts:
1. Ron actually asks Hermione to the Yule Ball
2. Hermione is the one he is openly lovesick over when he eats the chocolate meant for Harry, and she feels conflicted. Or he accidentally is put under the spell in another way
3. marriage law fic where Hermione has to be married and Ron volunteers
MCU:
Fandom DNW: Steve/Steve's Endgame ending bashing (feel free to ignore), rehash of CW/Accords conflict with bias toward one side (I'm Team Cap but I don't want to go over it again), Bucky having flirted with Sarah only to make Sam jealous, present/past/unrequited Steve/Bucky or Steve/Sam
Other Ships I like: Bucky/Darcy, Clint/Laura, Clint/Coulson, Clint/Natasha, Natasha/Darcy, Natasha/Maria, Natasha/Sharon, Natasha/Rhodey, Carol/Rhodey, Nebula/Rhodey, Sam/Rhodey, Sam/Erik Killmonger, Sam/T'Challa, T'Challa/Nakia, T'Challa/M'Baku, Nakia/Okoye, Tony/Pepper, Thor/Jane, Thor/Sif, Bruce/Betty
Friendships/Gen: any combo of the Avengers, Steve & Bucky, Steve & Natasha, Steve & Sam, Bucky & Peggy
Bucky/Natasha (Natasha pining, Bucky pining): I haven't read the comics but I think the potential of these two is intriguing. They both have darkish pasts that they struggle to go past and want to make the right choices. Both have a dry sense of humor and I feel like Natasha would enjoy teasing Bucky the way she does Steve. Natasha has said to have lost to the Winter Soldier multiple times so they have clashed in the past and I definitely would've been interested in seeing more of them together in the MCU. I am good with it being set during TFATWS too, with Natasha's death being handwaved or she is return when Steve returns the soul stone
Prompts:
1. Bucky survives the snap instead of Steve and the two of them get to know each other in that five year gap
2. Anastasia AU; I could see Natasha being the long lost princess and Bucky fitting into Dimitri's role - maybe he even is trying to con around for good reasons
3. Natasha survives and is around for the events of TFATWS; I can see and Bucky slowly getting closer and maybe she even teases him about his failed attempts to date
4. Bucky recognizes Natasha in TWS and it breaks his conditioning so Hydra can't recapture him. Instead he goes after them
Bucky/Sam (Sam pining, Bucky pining): I liked the idea of them when I noticed how much chemistry Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan had during their TWS press tour, but I think I really fell for them during CACW. I just love frenemies to lovers/bickering friends and they gave it to me in spades, especially the scene in the car and the "I hate you". The fact we got to move from that to the soft look Bucky gave Sam in Endgame was such a treat and everything that developed during TFATWS was even better. Never imagined I could get this much content for them. Bucky has been through so much and I love that Sam just doesn't treat him with kid gloves. They have this special bond and I love it a lot. Sam's one of my overall favorite characters- I loved him immediately in TWS and only grew to love him more over the course of the movies. The way he is brave and fights for what he believes and is such a good friend are some of his (many) great traits. Plus he is good at cutting through the BS, which is why he didn't tolerate Rumlow's monologue or even Zemo's attempts at manipulation. I like the what ifs after TWS to anything set during or after TFATWS. Complete AUs are fun too.
Prompts:
1. Pre TFATWS where they both think they other hates them- really is pining
2. soulmate AU; maybe one or both is jaded by the concept because they don't think they have a soulmate (or only one realizes they're soulmates and think the other has rejected them but really didn't know)
3. they have to go undercover as a couple
Natasha/Pepper (Natasha pining): I liked the dynamic we got from Iron Man 2 and love the idea of them as a ship. I only ask that the Tony & Pepper relationship be respected, and that he is not an antagonist. I like those two as friends (and a canon couple even if I am not requesting it).
Prompts:
1. Natasha saves Pepper (or even better, vice versa)
2. one of them is flirting with the other and the other doesn't realize it
3. Natasha's trapped in a fake world where she is in a happy relationship with Pepper
Natasha/Sam (both pining): I really liked these two during TWS. I thought they had good chemistry and I feel like their personalities mesh. They both have a sense of humor, have strong values and are very loyal and brave. It is one of the couples I really could've seen working in canon. Sam's one of my favorites- he's kind but no nonsense and has the attitude that Natasha would appreciate.
Prompts:
1. soulmate AU where Natasha's mark was either damaged or removed in her past
2. Bodyguard AU where Sam's the new Captain America and they assign Natasha to protect him after he gains a stalker
3. Natasha and Sam had a one night stand pre-TWS
Peggy/Steve (Steve pining): I really loved them in TFA- the way Steve was amused at Peggy immediately and Peggy being interested in pre-serum Steve just won me over. Tons of UST. This is the ship I truly didn't think I would see together again, even though I appreciated all the moments of Steve loving Peggy in the present day and Peggy still loving Steve in Agent Carter so for them to get their dance and a happy ending in one timeline made me really happy.
Prompts:
1. modern coffeeshop AU; barista Steve and his favorite customer, Peggy
2. somehow Peggy ends up in the future
3. Peggy doesn't die in CW but instead some external power deages her
4. artist!Steve + Peggy as his muse
Steve/Tony (Tony pining, Steve pining, both pining): I fell for them in the Avengers movie and they quickly became one of my OTPs. Ships that initially fight but are on the same side are definitely a favorite of mine and I liked how they progressed during that movie. Their ups and downs over the course of the rest were hard but they had some really great moments. I don't blame Steve for not telling Tony about Bucky (it's easy to say Tony wouldn't have killed Bucky while watching afar and be a little more wary when you are in the moment) and I don't blame Tony for being hurt. Both are stubborn and have communication issues for sure but they do have common goals and I'm just a sucker for scenes like Tony giving Steve his shield back in Endgame and Steve being all "I do" when asked if he trusted him. The way they were able to communicate effortlessly despite all that time apart (when communication issues were the problem!) was a delight to see. Plus you know they shared a bed on Clint's farm. I just would prefer that while they work on their issues, I don't want one of them grovelling to the other the entire time.
Prompts:
1. Tony time traveled before the events of Iron Man and had sex with Steve (pre or post serum), and comes back, convinced he is still dead. Then he is found in the present and Tony has to deal with that.
2. soulmate AU; maybe the bond happens at the wrong moment (could be set during any canon events)
3. Steve is lonely post TWS and he and Tony fall into a friends with benefits relationship
Little Women:
Fandom DNW: Amy bashing, past or one sided Amy/Laurie shaming Jo for her rejection of Laurie
Friendships/Gen: any combo of the March sisters, Laurie & March family
Jo/Laurie (Jo pining, Laurie pining, both pining): I'm just a sucker for this ship. It was one of my childhood OTPs and every time I watch a new version of Little Women, I end up falling for them once more, despite long knowing how it will end. I like their bickering friendship and how they just have so much fun together. Her being the only one who gets to call him "Teddy" is nice. I respect her decision to say no but I do still like the thought of them finding their way together anyway.
Prompts:
1. modern AU and how that changes things
2. Laurie comes back from Europe single
3. Jo gets sick (but lives)
Star Trek (AOS):
Fandom DNW: abusive Winona, past/present/unrequited AOS Kirk/Spock prime
Other Ships I like: Uhura/Scotty, Uhura/Bones, Uhura/Chapel, Bones/Chapel
Gen/Friendships:
Carol/Bones (Bones pining, both pining): I thought they had good chemistry and an interesting dynamic in XI. It would be interesting to see what could happen in the aftermath of that movie and how their relationship could develop.
Prompts:
1. Bones has to deal with his feelings over Carol's betrayal; pining is on both sides while they learn to trust/fall in love
2. soulmate AU; Bones doesn't believe in them (hence his marriage), even more so since his ex left him for her soulmate but then he meets his real one (Carol)
3. they're set up by mutual friends
Gaila/Uhura (Uhura pining, Gaila pining): I liked both characters in XI and I thought their friendship was cute and could really see them as a ship too. Their personalities are very different, and that contrast is always interesting to me. I wish we could've seen more of Gaila in general.
Prompts:
1. They pretend to be a couple to ward off any unwanted interest and then it escalates
2. soulmate AU; Gaila is searching for her soulmate While Uhura seems uninterested in the idea and they never suspect it is Uhura for reasons
3. after a night out, they wake up married
Kirk/Spock (Kirk pining, Spock pining, both pining): I liked how they butted heads and then had to work together (frenemies to lovers!!!) and how they grew to rely on each other over the course of the movies.
Prompts:
1. Kirk doesn't get Spock's flirting
2. soulmate AU- doesn't think they're the other one's soulmate for whatever reason while pining
3. Kirk admits his feelings when he thinks they're about to die and they survive
4. Vulcan doesn't explode/Spock's mom lives and she bonds with Kirk, leading to Spock reluctantly friending him too
Suits:
Other Ships I like: Donna/Stephen (as long as he's not a bad guy), Louis/Sheila, Rachel/Logan Sanders (again, as long as he's not a bad guy)
Friendships/Gen: Harvey & Donna, Harvey & Louis, Harvey & Jessica, Donna & Jessica, Donna & Rachel, Mike & Rachel, Jessica & Rachel, Rachel & Louis, Louis & Donna
Donna/Rachel (Donna pining, Rachel pining, both pining): I loved their friendship on the show, but I also shipped them. They had such fun chemistry and I absolutely enjoyed their first meeting in that flashback. Donna clearly likes/respects to the point where Harvey respects her because of it but also the feeling is mutual. I like that they can have problems but they can also be mature enough to talk to one another and get over it. Of course the bar scene where they're pretending to be "Michelle Ross" and "Harriet Specter" was one of my favorite moments.
Prompts:
1. Rachel goes to Stanford and they miss each other
2. Donna is flirting with/wooing Rachel, buts he doesn't realize it (or the other way around)
3. they end up in a FWB relationship but Donna thinks that Rachel is still really into Mike
Harvey/Mike (Harvey pining, Mike pining, both pining): I loved the two of them so much. Mike really is the reason Harvey softened/started letting people in and the way they would go all out for each other made me melt. The loyalty is strong with these two and I'm here for every moment. I stopped watching after some point, and I do prefer earlier season fics but I'm fine with the fics being set in later seasons because I'm aware of the general plot (I know Mike goes to jail, etc).
Prompts:
1. Harvey pining for Mike while he is in prison or he realizes his feelings while he is there
2. one of them tries to confess but keeps getting interrupted or isn't believed
3. Royalty AU or an AU where Harvey has to find a spouse instead of an associate and then he picks Mike, who stumbles into the party, even though he doesn't have any connections and they both pretend (I saw this prompt on FFA and I couldn't stop thinking about it)
Ted Lasso:
Fandom DNW: Sam/Rebecca- either together or treated as problematic/Rebecca using Sam as a substitute for Ted, focus on Nate Shelly comeuppance- I'm fine with him realizing where he was wrong/mistaken but I don't want all the other characters to just be lecturing him
Friendships/Gen: any combo of AFC Richmond players, Ted & Beard, Ted & Roy, Ted & Jamie, Roy Beard, Roy & Jamie, Rebecca & Higgins, Rebecca & Keeley
Keeley/Roy (Keeley pining, Roy pining): I just love their relationship on the show. How they came together, and how they communicate and make it over their hurdles and how *into* each other they are. Also so supportive and reassuring. Just the best.
Prompts:
1. Keeley ends up winning Roy in the auction
2. Roy was the player Keeley slept with when she was 18 (I know he wouldn't have been 23 but you can ignore that part) and they met again when she starts dating Jamie
3. pre-canon to early canon where Keeley dates football players and Roy is secretly pining
Keeley/Roy/Jamie (all pining, Jamie pining): I like the potential of these three. Roy and Jamie have come so far, Roy and Keeley are adorable, and of course Keeley and Jamie's friendship is great too. Especially in the second half of season 2. The scene where Keeley and Roy get mad about that foul Jamie took in the finale? So in sync. Really plays to how this trio could work in a relationship.
Prompts:
1. Jamie bonds with Roy's niece and gets closer to Roy (and Keeley); I can see him being good with kids
2. Roy goes on vacation and with Keeley's insistence, Jamie ends up tagging along. They end up developing feelings and then Keeley joins in
3. the three of them have a one night stand after drinking too much/celebrating
Sam/Dani (Dani pining, both pining): They would just be such a sunshine ship! Both are kind people, even if they have had to overcome their own issues. Also the way that Dani immediately jumped into Sam's arms immediately was adorable.
Prompts:
1. they keep showing up to event's as each other's plus one and people start to think they're dating
2. one of them gets hurt and the other comforts/takes care of them
3. they start a FWB relationship and Dani still thinks Sam just misses Rebecca
Sam/Dani/Jamie (all pining): I like all the relationships within this. Sam & Dani were cute, Sam and Jamie become quickly one of my favorites, and the Jamie & Dani relationship was what really surprised me, between the funeral and how Jamie believed in him to make the penalty kick. Together, they would be even better.
Prompts:
1. Sam and Dani are already together and Jamie finds out - is outwardly happy for them but is also pining
2. they celebrate a win and wake up in bed together the next morning
Sam/Jamie (Jamie pining): The casual way Jamie drapes himself over Sam now and how far they've come really has sold me on the potential of this ship. The contrast between their relationship with their fathers is also intriguing. I like how that since Jamie hurt Sam worse than others, he had to work harder to win back his trust and forgiveness.
Prompts:
1. for some reason, it gets around that Sam and Jamie are together and when Jamie's dad calls him, he doubles down and ends up revealing they're engaged when they're not even together. Sam goes along with it
2. Jamie finds out about Sam and Rebecca and offers to cover for them by letting Sam tell people he is hanging out with Jamie so no one suspects. All while pining
3. Jamie realizes he has feelings for Sam, but doesn't think he deserves him
Ted/Rebecca (Ted pining, Rebecca pining): I liked the idea of them in s1 but I really fell for them in s2. They've come along so far and even if there were episodes where they didn't directly interact as much or at all, they were clearly still in each other's lives, I especially liked how Rebecca was the one to notice Ted was having a panic attack or the moments during Rebecca's father's funeral, like Ted being the one to pick up the song and remind Rebecca of a happy moment of her father. There is this really strong connection even as friends and I think they could work as a couple too.
Prompts:
1. fake dating for any reason
2. Rebecca is pining for Ted but worried she has too much power over him
3. Ted realizing he is in love with Rebecca and panicking
4. friends with benefits
Thanks again!
