Very true, on both accounts!

Belle and Jasmine have constantly argued for the place of my second Princess. LOL But Pocahontas will always be first!

I wanted a tiger long before Rajah, but he certainly was one of my favorites at first sight!

I grew up with cats and both my parents loved animals, so I was very knowledge about animals from a young age.

Pocahontas will forever be my favorite, and I hate that so many people cut down on Disney romanticizing her legend so much! I truly wish they had never made a sequel and had just left us thinking that Smith could have come back for her in that world. It actually inspired me to read and research on her, so I know how horrific her life actually was. And probably would have never done so if I hadn't first fallen in love with her character in the movie.

And yes, I'm native myself -- 25% proud Apache with about a dozen different, other tribes mixed in -- so I do get how important the Native American history is, as is all cultures, but true fans actually look into the real life versions of the characters... It's a way to get MORE people interested in the culture and actual facts instead of less...
