How I feel about this character: I like Sherlock Holmes. Despite loving mysteries, I only read the ACD books when I was an adult, well after I had watched the RDJ films/one season of Sherlock/Elementary, but it is obvious why they are so popular. And the character is great. Obviously he is brilliant and knows it but also empathetic and just wants justice.
All the people I ship romantically with this character: Watson
My non-romantic OTP for this character: Probably Lestrade or Mycroft
My unpopular opinion about this character: Unsure what is popular but he's definitely not as rude as some versions make him out to be.
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: Unsure? I know ACD wanted to be done with the character but I'm glad that he wasn't permanently killed off and he was brought back. So I don't have any complaints.

Oh yeah, I don't remember how internationally mainstream it was, since it was on BBC, but LJ was my primary way to interact with fandom back when Merlin was airing and it was popular there for sure. While it is obviously possible to go back and find things, it is more fun to get involved when it's airing for sure.

How I feel about this character: I'm sure it is is no surprise that I love him! I saw CATWS in the theater but I saw the gifs first and initially I wanted to go see it for Steve but by the time I went, I was excited about Sam and he didn't let me down. What a great character. He's so kind and funny and supportive and holds true to who he is and what he believes in. Definitely one of my favorite characters in the series.
All the people I ship romantically with this character: Bucky! Also Natasha. I came out of TWS shipping them.There are some ships that I like the idea of, like T'Challa and I read this one good fic with him and Erik (Killmonger) that sold me on it. But WinterFalcon OTP of course.
My non-romantic OTP for this character: Steve - they're such fun friends
My unpopular opinion about this character: IDK if is unpopular but I hate it when people claim he was against the Accords in CACW just because he was following Steve. He was against it first and arguing with Rhodey while Steve was still reading them!
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: I haven't seen BNW or Thunderbolts so I don't know everything that did happen to him in canon. I heard he and Bucky have some conflict over The Avengers name? That doesn't sound great. Also he and Bucky shouldn't be parted in canon in the first place. Leave them together!
