This was an old TV Guide from over a decade ago that I clearly got because Tom Welling and Erica Durance were on the cover.

Candles! I think they were supposed to smell like violets but they're kind of old so not as much anymore.

Purple is my favorite color and this is Aladdin & Jasmine mug that I got from a store in Disneyland. And no I don't know why these images are sideways. It was just uploaded like that. :\

Rereading Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen. Just started.

I actually don't remember the last movie I watched, but The Secret Life of Pets was coming on TV while I was flipping channels so let's go with that.

Ted Lasso is the most recent, because otherwise, my life/time gets too caught up in watching sports and I am bad about keeping up with current TV.

So, funny story about Skyfall. I was watching the Adele special from . . . November? And she started singing Skyfall, but I didn't realize what it was at first because I'd kind of forgotten momentarily that she had sung it? Anyway, I'm listening to it and going, wow, this really sounds like it could be a James Bond theme song, lol! And then I realized it ~actually was and felt pretty foolish. *g*

I haven't watched Ted Lasso but I did enjoy the hell out of the ESPN skit that spawned the show being an Englishwoman living in the States.

We had a year of Apple TV with some new product, which is the reason I was like "why not", since I have heard good things, and I ended up really liking it. I have not heard of the ESPN skit! Sounds funny though. I'm going to go look that up. :D

And I love that TV Guide cover. I remember when those were all the range in Fandom, lol. Someone once mailed me a Supernatural cover TV Guide (or two). I chuckle every time I see them. It's funny because here in the UK, the front cover of TV Guides is reserved for juicy soap opera storylines. Just goes to show how different things can be. :D

Yay purple gang! ♥ Thank you! It's basically become a decorative piece but it combines two things I love- Aladdin and purple. :D

Oh, I know right? And that is cool that someone mailed you them! I never used to buy the TV Guide, until I heard ED & TW were going to be on it and then I ran out to get one specifically. It's interesting; I think there are other ones that cater to the soap operas, because I definitely still see them when I'm in the grocery store line. I feel like I remember TV Guide doing that too, probably more when soap operas were popular. Now there are only a few left over here.

OMG I remember collecting magazines because my favourites were on the cover. What a time lmao. I still have a few tucked away on my bookshelf. Yours looks like it's in good condition still!

I used to collect magazines too, but of the Bollywood variety. I used to make my dad drag them home from India when we went there to visit family. They really built up before I finally let them go and I probably should've saved one or two for the memories. Oh well. And I tried! It got a little squished once and now I kept it flat so it doesn't get ruined any further. :D

Totally! Definitely one of my favorite songs of her's.

It was already mid movie by the time I saw it but what I did catch was very cute and amusing so I will definitely see it at some point. My sister liked it a lot but we do love animated movies in general. I hope you get to see it soon too!

Thank you! I'm fond of it too but I had a stage (okay I still am in it; I just exercise better self control) where I really loved mugs. And I don't blame you. Those 90s movies were fun! I used to have a lot of video cassettes but pretty sure I have some of the DVD versions now. :D

I still have the VHS versions! and I have 3 (one in use and two spare) VHS players to play them on. Nothing like bleeding reds and weird static tracking to bring on the childhood memories! (plus I paid for them, I didn't want to buy them again!)

Sorry about the extremely delayed reply! I didn't realize there were comments I hadn't replied to. We had the VHS versions for the longest time too and my parents literally just got rid of the VCR player. And that's totally fair. It's why I haven't given up on my CDs yet. I bought that music. I'm keeping it!

Aw, I used to collect tv guides when my favs were on the cover too. I have no idea where any of those are tho! Probably not as well preserved as yours, that's for sure.

Cool! This was the only TV Guide I bought but I used to collect Bollywood magazines and I know for fact they are long gone unfortunately. I think I let mine get squished once so I was careless and then I felt bad and kept it flat. It helps that the bookshelf it sits in doesn't get touched much. :D

I'm here for the rise of the purple popularity! Random story: there used to be a website called bringingpurpleback and one of my close friends used to make jokes that I ran it.
