I love Keeley - she was just such a bright spot right off the bat and I loved her dynamic with all the characters, and her relationship with Rebecca was delightful. She's so warm and positive and her journey to gain confidence in herself was great. I like that she stood up to Rebecca when she realized that she was behind the sabotage and how she put her foot down with both Jamie and Roy at various points too. She had a positive impact on the people around her - really encouraging and wanting to see the best in people.

I liked her growth and how she gained the confidence to do her own thing, which is why I was really disappointed with her s3 arc. I loved where s2 left her - this strong woman who was starting her own business and being spotlighted. Then s3 happened and it was one long game of "kick the sunshine character". I don't mind the idea that she had her ups and downs with the new career but they made her so miserable immediately and while Rebecca comforting her was sweet, it just seemed to be the beginning of her troubles.

On one hand, it was good to see LGBT representation on s3 when the only thing that there was in the first 2 seasons were the mention of Keeley having been with women in the past and Colin knowing what Grindr was. So while Keeley and Roy's breakup was weird and sudden, I could've gotten on board with her relationship with Jack if it wasn't so up and down, proving that yes, this show is yet another that can't handle writing established relationships for very long. Keeley got a nude video leaked and then Jack just shamed her, disappeared, and we never heard from her again outside of her pulling her funding. Then we had Keeley hiring a friend (Shandy) like what Rebecca did with her, except it failed, she got fired and again, that never went anywhere.

I know Rebecca saved the day with the firm but it felt like it was a series of moments that ended up with Keeley not being in charge and ending up in a slightly passive role in her own life.

She ended up happy but I still think she deserved better.

Oh god, yes, Keeley's season 3 storylines were so frustrating! There was A Lot thrown at her, and I wasn't necessarily opposed to any of the storylines in particular, but they kept piling up without any opportunity to see how the previous thing impacted her until it felt sort of overwhelming and whiplashy. Ugh. It made me want a lot of fix-it fic for season 3, anyway! XD

She had a positive impact on the people around her - really encouraging and wanting to see the best in people. Aww, yes, this! She's one of my faves and this is a big reason why. <333
